2023 Cap City Scrapers Select Royal 16u Player Profiles
The Cap City Scrappers AAU program is based out of Albany, NY. Their mission is to help players improve their individual and team basketball skills in a competitive environment, while helping them develop and get the exposure they need to continue playing at the collegiate level.
The Cap City Scrappers 16U Select Royal team is apart of New Balance NXT PRO circuit and are off to a 7-2 start heading into the April live period. They are coached by the Assistant Program Director Tyler Silva and Jim Hicks Their players are profiled below:
Markus Navarra (2024) 6’7 forward, Saranac Lake High - very athletic forward with guards skills. Good mid range jumper. Great rim protector. 3.2 gpa
Lukas Lilac (2024) 6’2 Wing, Stillwater High - Athletic wing that can get downhill and make plays. He is a great defender with excellent footwork and can make tough shots. 3.7 gpa
Luke Sherman (2024) 6’1 Guard, Schulyerville High- Great combo guard that can distribute to teammates and run the floor. A great shooter with high IQ. 3.9 gpa
Nate Abernathy (2025) 6’5 forward/Wing, Bishop Grimes High - 3 Level scorer, tremendous leader and tenacious defender. Great rebounder. 3.8 gpa
Tyler Hicks (2025) 5’11 Guard, Shenendehowa High - Tough defending guard. Deadeye shooter with great range. Brings energy and and effort on the defensive end. 3.8 gpa
Jay Felio (2025) 5’11 Guard, Bethlehem High - Tough physical point guard with elite vision and one of the most lock down guards in NYS. 3.6 gpa
Sfrien Elizyai (2025) 6’4 Forward, Seton Catholic High - Strong forward with a ton of potential, great footwork and teammate. 3.5 gpa
Kam Edmonds (2025) 5’8 Guard, Shen High - Crafty guard with tremendous court vision and knockdown shooter. Great teammate and leader. 3.4 gpa
Cooper Allen (2025) 6’3 Wing, Moriah High - Aggressive wing that can disrupt ball handlers with his physicality and lock down opponents. Shoots a high percentage and squeezes tons of boards. 3.8 gpa
Trevor Harris (2025) 6’3 Guard, Crown Point High - Guard with elite 3 level scoring. Great shooter that consistently knock down the 3 ball. 3.4 gpa
Tait Christensen (2025) 6’6 Guard, Seton Catholic High - Guard that shoots great percentage from the field. Can defender the 2-4 and run the floor with a purpose. 4.0 gpa
