2022-23 Hotchkiss School Season Preview

The Hotchkiss School is a boarding school in Lakeville (Litchfield, County), CT that was founded in 1891, and has an outstanding reputation for academics and high level college placement It has also made itself the destination for outstanding college prep basketball. Last year’s team put together a spectacular 23-1 record going undefeated in their Founders League conference and running all the way to the NEPSAC Class A Tournament title

 

Head Coach Joe Busacca is new this year, and he is working to keep the impressive level of play and talent going. At this fall’s Open Gyms, college coaches will be checking out the following:

 

Owen Larbalestier (2023) 6’7, 185 lbs, wing (From California) - Getting D3 UAA, and NESCAC interest.

 

Davyn deJongh (2024) 6’3, 170 lbs, guard (From New York) - Getting Ivy League, Patriot League, and High Academic D3 interest.

 

Carter Warren (2024) 6’0, 165 lbs, guard (From California) - Getting High Academic D3 interest.


Dean Hogans (2025) 6’4, 185 lbs, guard (From New York)  - Getting Ivy League, Patriot League, and CAA interest.

 

Preston Merrick (2026) 6’4, 185 lbs, guard (From New York)


Jackson Powell (2026) 6’5, 175 lbs, forward (From Massachusetts)

 

In the Open Runs college coaches will be able to see the players above, compete with and against their already committed teammates, below:

Brandon McCreesh (2023) - 6’4, 180 lbs, guard (From Connecticut) - Committed to Bucknell University.
