2025 NY Rens EYBL 15u Roster
The renown NY Rens program is New York City based but its players are sourced from multiple states. The program was originally inspired by the historical team of the same name during the Harlem Renaissance. The original New York Renaissance, or RENS, was the first fully all-black professional African-American owned basketball team, formed in Harlem in 1923.
The present NY Renaissance focuses on continuing to turn amateurs into professionals - the right way. They interact with their participants in a genuine, caring way, as if that person were literally family. Even more so, they aren’t just making sure that young athletes only succeed on the court, they are also insistently encouraging and aiding academic excellence, while instilling valuable life lessons, morals, community values, and high character.
The 2025 NY Rens EYBL 15u team is coached by Cory Underwood, Andrew Adeleke, Cedric Ellison and Dayne Horrobin. The team competes in the Nike sponsored Elite Youth Basketball League. Nike EYBL is a well-known AAU basketball circuit featuring high school-age players. Nike and the NBA collaborate on programming for EYBL, including player and coach development, and health and wellness initiatives.
