2025 Battle for New York Supremacy Standouts

On Saturday, May 31, we were at Adlai Stevenson Educational Campus in the Soundview section of The Bronx for the inaugural Battle for New York Supremacy event, in which four teams of All Star players representing New York City, Long Island, Westchester County and Albany, played each other in a single-elimination tournament. Below are the standouts from this past weekend’s event.
Caleb Ourigou 6-11, Forward, Lawrence Woodmere Academy, Long Island, Class of 2026 - A forward that is very dominant in the post area and is a matchup nightmare for whomever has to defend him. Is a very physical player that can outwork the opposition, as he is able to post up his counterparts on offense and back them down and go for a hook shot. Is able to block shots on the defensive end and obtain rebounds on both ends of the court. Is a great finisher at the rim as well.
Simon Ogwuche 6-9, Forward, Stony Brook School, Long Island, Class of 2027 - A forward that is very versatile and is able to run in transition when on the offensive end. Is able to block shots and sky for rebounds on both ends of the court. Has the ability to drive to the basket and is a solid finisher.
Dylan Cudjoe 6-8, Forward, Lawrence Woodmere Academy, Long Island, Class of 2026 - A forward that has the ability to make his presence felt on both ends of the court, as he has a long wingspan and is able to put the ball on the floor. Knows when to run and is able to use his athleticism on both ends of the court. Has a penchant for throwing down powerful dunks and is able to get to the basket efficiently.
Dell Mance 6-5, Shooting Guard, Knox School, Long Island, Class of 2026 - A guard that has great court awareness and has the ability to make his presence felt on the offensive end of the court. Has great footwork and is able to establish solid moves before getting his shot off. Has a penchant for shooting from long range and is a master at catching and shooting.
Sincere Allah, 6-0, Point Guard, Albany High School, Albany, Class of 2026 - A guard with plenty of quickness and the ability to use his speed to his advantage. Is a player who can distribute the ball and help put his teammates in position to score. Is able to fly to the basket and finish efficiently.
Jayden Osinski, 6-5, Shooting Guard, Christian Brothers Academy, Albany, Class of 2027 - A guard that has the ability to create for himself off the dribble and is a dynamic threat on the offensive end. Is a player that has a penchant for shooting from long-range and also from mid-range. Is a solid defensive player as he has a great eye for the ball, as he is prone to getting steals.
Elijah Godbolt 6-1, Shooting Guard, Albany Academy, Albany, Class of 2025 - A guard that likes to play in an up-tempo system, and is able to attack when in transition. Has the ability to dish the ball to his teammates when they are streaking towards the basket. Is able to make a move with a quick first step and is able to get his shot off efficiently from mid-range jumpers to the corner.
Elijah King 6-3, Shooting Guard, Eagle Academy I, New York City, Class of 2027 - A guard that has a penchant for making big plays when he has the ball in his hands. Is able to attack in transition and find ways to get open. Has a penchant for decimating the opposition with his three-point shooting and is able to slice and dice his way to the hole.
Devin Clarke 6-7, Forward, Canarsie Educational Campus, New York City, Class of 2026 - A forward that is very strong and mobile and is very versatile. Has a penchant for putting the ball on the floor and can muscle his way to the basket. Has the ability to finish at the rim, but is also a great shooter from mid-range and can also step out and shoot threes. Has the ability to box out and obtain rebounds on both ends of the court.
Brandon Burrell 6-1, Shooting Guard, Mamaroneck High School, Westchester, Class of 2026 - A guard with a score-first mentality, but also a player that has the opportunity to distribute. Is able to break down the opposition off the dribble and can get to the basket with ease. Is able to unleash his shooting touch from three-point range with precision, as he is tough to contain when shooting from deep. Is a solid defensive player that is prone to obtaining steals and getting to the other end of the court.
Jake Pampolina 5-11, Point Guard, Suffern High School, Westchester, Class of 2026 - A guard that provides plenty of energy and has plenty of heart whenever he steps on the court. Is able to get past the opposition and can dish out the ball to his teammates and put them in position to score. Is fearless when it comes to taking charges, as he is able to draw fouls with ease. Has a nice shooting touch from both the mid-range and from three.
