2021 Philly Live Top CT Performers
On May 19, RecruitTheBronx.com paid a visit to St. Joseph’s Preparatory School in Philadelphia for the Philly High School Live I event. A multitude of teams from the Northeast played against one another in front of college coaches from multiple levels. It was the first D1 Live Period event in over a year and half, where D1 college coaches were allowed to see prospects in person. Two of Connecticut’s finest CIAC programs, East Catholic High School (Manchester) and Windsor High School (Windsor), both showcased some of the finest rising CIAC sophomores and juniors.
Samson Reilly 6-0, Point Guard, East Catholic High School, Class of 2024 - A guard that is always alert and ready for the ball and looks to hustle for loose balls at all times. Has a good jumper & is able to find ways to score. Has a penchant for finding his teammates at the right spots.
Allyn Wright 5-11, Point Guard, East Catholic High School, Class of 2024 - A guard that is great at hitting his teammates with open passes and putting them in position to score. Has a quick first step and is fearless when driving into the lane. Uses his speed to obtain steals and can get down court with ease.
James Jones 6-5, Forward, East Catholic High School, Class of 2023 - A forward that can make smooth moves to the basket and is able to glide off of his first step. Is able to get to the rim with ease and loves to showcase his athleticism. Is able to get obtain rebounds efficiently and can bring the ball up court. Has a competitive nature on the floor. Has a penchant for shooting from long range and is a great passer.
Luke Reilly 6-1, Shooting Guard, East Catholic High School, Class of 2023 - A guard that has a penchant for spacing the floor and for getting open without the ball. Is a player that can score off the dribble and is known for shooting from long range. Has the ability to play on and off the ball and can do many things when on the court.
Tyler Betsey 6-6, Forward, Windsor High School, Class of 2024 - A forward that is long athletic and is very active on the floor. Is able to create for himself off the dribble and can pass the ball to his teammates. Has the ability to get past his defender and get to the basket with ease. Is able to see the floor despite his large frame.
Prince Samuels 6-5, Forward, Windsor High School, Class of 2023 - A forward that is long and athletic and can put the ball on the floor. Is able to block shots and can corral rebounds in the low post. Uses his strength to hold his own in the paint area. Has the ability to get his shot off from the top of the key.
Rashawn Tibby 6-7, Forward, Windsor High School, Class of 2024 - A guard that has plenty of height and is very good at attacking the basket. Loves to showcase his athleticism as he is able to play above the rim with ease. Is good at putting the ball on the floor and has excellent court vision on the floor.
Quintin Floyd 6-0, Shooting Guard, Windsor High School, Class of 2024 - A guard that is able to get to the basket with ease and has good court awareness when on the floor. Is able to get past is defender with a quick first step and can score if not guarded heavily. Knows when to attack the lanes and has a good sense of when to pass the ball to his teammates or when to take a good shot.
