CT TakeOver is a New Haven and Hartford County, Connecticut based program coached by skills trainer Darren Gilbert. The program has the following college prospects playing with them this season:

Andrew Lazarre (2022) 6’1 combo guard, Notre Dame-West Haven (CT) Lazarre is one of the best rebounding guards you’ll find with his length. He plays at both ends of the floor with high energy and scores at all 3 levels. He needs to put on about 15 pounds of muscle and then would fit in at the D2 level.

Amare Davis (2022) 5’10 point guard, Notre Dame West Haven (CT) - Davis is a ball dominate guard with a great feel for the game. He has a very quick first step and shoots the 3 ball at a high clip. He has posted with a couple 30+ games this year on the grassroots circuit. He is especially lethal off the high pick-n-roll.

Ja’Don Thomas (2022) 6’4 forward, Wilbur Cross High School (CT) - With his 40+ inch vertical, Thomas dominates the paint on both ends of the floor with his strength and electric energy. He has a high IQ and just wants to get better and learn everyday . He will be making a college basketball or football coach very happy!

Nate Walters (2022) 6’3 guard, Avon Old Farms School (CT) 6’3 with already some college interest Nate is a great teammate and has a great work ethic who could also shoot the 3 at high rate. Once he learns to use his body more his game will increase drastically another one with 30+ inch vertical.

Jayden Buckle (2023) 5’10 guard, Windsor Locks High (CT)- Buckle averaged 18 ppg as a sophomore at his high school. A “Steady Eddie” type guard that won’t wow you with his athleticism, but has a very high IQ knows when to pick his spots on the floor. He shoots the ball at a high rate from both the mid range and the3 point line.

Aiden Staus (2023) 6’4 wing, St. Paul’s Catholic High (CT) - Staus is a knock down shooter who also has length. He is gaining more confidence, and is a student of the game. College coaches take notice.

Marino Fanelli (2023) 6’0 combo guard, Berlin High (CT) - Fanelli can score at all 3 levels, but he is mainly a 3 point threat, especially off the pick and roll.

Micheal Coggins (2024) 6’4 guard, Suffield High (CT) -  Coggins was second leading scorer at his high school as a freshman. Coggins could play all 5 positions. He has been playing up a year sometimes even two years in AAU ball. Regardless,  he still plays the same way and doesn’t let anything affect him.  He’s a 3 level scorer with a very high ceiling.

Alex Prezioso (2024) 5’11 point guard, Hamden Hall Country Day School (CT) - Prezioso has a great knack for the game and has a great assist to turnover rate. He is a true point guard in that he wants to get his teammates involved first. But he also can fill it up himself when he’s hot.
