2021 Hoop Group Atlantic City Jam Fest Top Performers
On July 8-9, RecruitTheBronx.com dropped in on the Atlantic City Convention Center for the Hoop Group Atlantic City Jam Fest. This showcase was heavily attended by college coaches of all levels, as the NCAA AAU Live Period began with a bang. Programs from across the Northeast and their players were trying to benefit from that great exposure opportunitiy. Here are the standouts that we saw get that done.
RJ Greene 6-5, Forward, Iona Preparatory School Class of 2022, NY Gauchos - A swingman that found multiple ways to get to the basket and worked hard to get his points on the board. Is very active when going up for rebounds and shows his athleticism and strength at all times. Has a penchant for making big plays on the court.
Michael Carothers 5-9, Point Guard, Cushing Academy (MA), Class of 2022, New York Gauchos - A guard that has a penchant for making great plays on the court and facilitating the ball to his teammates at all times. Has excellent court vision when on the floor and is able to see what his teammates are doing before they get into position to score. Has good quickness when on the floor and is able to get to the basket with ease.
Eric Mejia 6-2, Point Guard, Cardinal Hayes High School, Class of 2024, New York Gauchos - A guard that has a penchant for creating for himself on the floor and is able to get himself freed up to get the ball and is able to shoot from long range. Has some quickness and is able to get to basket and is able to get down court quick. Is able to pass the ball on the break and can hit teammates with passes.
Daryl Victory 5-8, Point Guard, Cardinal Hayes High School, Class of 2022, Early Risers - A guard that is able to lead and can make his teammates better everytime he is on the court. Has a penchant for taking on bigger players whenever he glides to the basket. Is a fierce competitor when it comes to being on the floor as he is fearless when he goes to the basket.
Desmond Claude 6-5, Point Guard, St. Thomas More School, Class of 2022, Expressions Elite 2022 - A guard that is good at filling the lanes and can do many things when off the ball, but is a great passer when it comes to giving his teammates the ball. Has a penchant for making his teammates better at all times when on the floor.
Danny Carbuccia 6-1, Point Guard, Archbishop Stepinac High School, Class of 2025, PSA Cardinals 2024 - A guard that can see the floor at all times and can make plays at all times. Is very advanced for his age group and is fearless on the offensive end. Is able to play tough defense at all times and is able to obtain steals.
Yves Missi 6-10, Forward, West Nottingham Academy (MD), Class of 2024, PSA Cardinals 2024 - A forward that establishes his presence when he’s on the floor and is able to impose his will against the opposition. Has good size and good hands and is able to get rebounds at all time. Is able to score at all times, as he uses his toughness around the rim.
Abraham Rosario 6-7, Forward, Evangel Christian School, Class of 2024, PSA Cardinals 2024 - A forward that has good size and is able to show off his jumper. Is able to play above the rim when he is in the paint area and can dominate around the boards. Has great timing when it comes to blocking shots and grabbing rebounds when in the post.
Jaquan Sanders 6-4, Shooting Guard, Our Saviour Lutheran School, Class of 2022, New Heights Lightning 2022 - A guard with a lot of toughness and can do many things on the floor and has a penchant for scoring in bunches. Is always competitive and is ready to attack the opposition whenever they are coming towards him. Has a good shot selection when on the perimeter.
Elliot Cadeau 6-2, Point Guard, Bergen Catholic High School (NJ), Class of 2024, New Heights Lightning 2022 - A guard that can plenty of court vision and has the ability to get to the basket with ease and can see where his teammates are moving on the court. Has the ability to score at all times and is great at getting into the lane. Knows when to pass the ball and when to score.
Avery Brown 6-3, Point Guard, Northfield Mount Hermon School, Class of 2022, PSA Cardinals 2022 - A guard that knows how to break down his defender and can make plenty of noise with his offensive prowess. Has the ability to score in many ways, such as shooting from long range or going to the basket and scoring. Is fearless when going to the hole and is able to absorb contact when going up to the basket.
Emmanuel “Bube” Momah 6-7, Forward, Brewster Academy (NH), Class of 2022, PSA Cardinals 2022 - A forward that can make plenty of great plays on the floor and can make great plays on the floor. Has great hands and can find ways to rebound and establish his presence on the floor. Is very strong and can be very dominant when going to the rim for a dunk.
Roddy Gayle 6-5, Shooting Guard, Wasatch Academy (UT), Class of 2022, New York Rens 2022 - A guard that can play the one, but can also score like a two-guard. Knows when to attack the lane and can show off his range from the perimeter. Has the ability to get to the basket and is a great finisher, especially when getting to the rim. Is very fearless whe going to the rim.
Matthew Filipowski 6-11, Forward, Wilbraham & Monson Academy (MA), Class of 2022, New York Rens 2022 -A forward that has great size and can attack the lane with ease. Is able to block shots when the oppositon is driving towards the lane. Is able to shoot from long range and is also a great rebounder. Is great at finishing at the rim and is very strong and powerful when in the post.
Abdou Halil Barre 6-9, Forward, Scotland Campus (PA), Class of 2022, New York Rens 2022 - A forward that can play at the four position and is able to step out and shoot from the perimeter. Is able to grab rebounds and can block shots. Has great hands and is always able to get in position on the floor at all times.
Tahron Allen 6-4, Forward, Brooklyn Collegiate High School, Class of 2021, PPA Broncos - A guard that can establish position on the floor and can attack the glass at all times. Is able to push the ball up the floor and can get to the basket with ease. Has the opportunity to use his strength and is able to absorb contact when going up to the basket.
Spencer Mahoney 6-7, Forward, Xaverian High School, Class of 2023, PSA Cardinals 2023 - A forward that is able to put the ball on the floor and is very versatile when he’s on the offensive end. Is able to get rebounds when it comes to him being in the post and uses his strength. Is able to shoot from the perimeter and is able to make shots with ease.
Mouhamed Dioubate 6-6, Forward, Putnam Science Academy, Class of 2023, PSA Cardinals 2023 - A forward that is very versatile and has plenty of footwork when on the floor. Has the ability to get to the basket and shoot from the perimeter. Is able to get rebounds and is able to get back up on the floor.
Elijah Bailey 5-11, Point Guard, Tennessee Prep Academy (TN), Team Mega, Class of 2023 - A guard that can make a lot of smart decisions when on the floor. Knows when to attack the break and can make plenty of great decisions when he’s running the point. Is able to get steals on the defensive end and is able to get to the basket.
Damir Brooks 6-5, Forward, Vision Academy, Class of 2021, Milbank Flyers - A forward who is a physical post presence when in the paint. Is very athletic and can make plenty of plays, especially when playing at the rim. Is able to use his hands to get rebounds at all times.
