Lincoln Park Classic Top Performers 7/28/21

On July 28, RecruitTheBronx.com paid a visit to the Lincoln Park-Judge Playground in the South Ozone Park section of Queens. Fresh off of the NCAA Live Period, players were back on the asphalt to show off their skills in the annual Lincoln Park Classic. Here are the standouts from the games:

 

Amadou Diallo 5-10, Point Guard, Putnam Science Academy, NYC Finest, Class of 2022 - A guard that has a penchant for making good plays on the floor & use his quickness when going down court. Has plenty of athleticism and can get to the hole with ease. Has good hands and is able to get to the ball easily and is prone to getting steals.

 

Aguibou Balde 6-5, Forward, Fork Union Military Academy (VA), NYC Finest, Class of 2022 - A forward that has good footwork and makes swift moves around the basket. Is also a player that can be a force around the basket and is a great rebounder. Has good hands that aid in him obtaining rebounds and can use his physicality to muscle his way into the paint.

 

Tyshawn Trail 6-3, Shooting Guard, John Bowne High School, NYC Finest, Class of 2022 - A guard that has the ability to get up and down the floor and can create for himself off the dribble. Has plenty of speed and uses it to his advantage. Is able to drive to the basket when he is not guarded heavily. Has the ability to shoot from long range and Is known for getting to the rim with ease.

 

Mouhamed Dioubate 6-6, Forward, Putnam Science Academy, NYC Finest, Class of 2023 - A forward that is strong and very versatile on the wing and has plenty of footwork when on the floor and in the post. Has the ability to get to the basket by driving off the dribble and can shoot from the perimeter. Due to his strength, he Is able to get rebounds and is able to get back up on the floor. Is also able to play above the rim.

 

Tylik Weeks 6-6, Forward, South Shore High School, D1 Stars, Class of 2022 - A forward that can hold his own in the low post area and is very strong and physically imposing. Uses his physicality to box players out and obtain rebounds in the paint. Is able to score with ease off of putbacks and has good footwork that allows him to get to the basket and draw fouls easily.

 

Kalik Sharpe 6-2, Shooting Guard, Archbishop Molloy High School, D1 Stars, Class of 2023 - A guard that is quick and deceptive with the ball and is very active when on the floor. Is able to get to the lane with ease, as well as absorb contact to draw a foul and get to the line. Finds ways to get his shot off and always looks to score. Has the ability to pass to his teammates the ball that may result in assists.

 

Chidi Obicherre 6-5, Forward, The Patrick School (NJ), D1 Stars, Class of 2022 - A forward with a long wingspan and can get to the rim easily. Uses his athleticism to block shots and also throw down powerful dunks on the floor. Is a good defender that can stay with his man at all times and can neutralize the opposition’s chances of scoring.

 

Tai Turnage 5-8, Point Guard, St. Raymond High School, OTN, Class of 2025 - A guard with a small frame that can make plays and has very good court vision. Is very smart with the ball and is very fearless when going up to the basket. Has a penchant for hitting clutch shots when needed, especially from long range.

 

Dontae Prescott 5-10, Point Guard, Bridgeport Preparatory School, OTN, Class of 2022 - A guard that loves to run and will look to go to the basket. Is able to run a team at his position and can see the floor & can see where his teammates are moving before he gives them passes that put them in position to score. Is a player that loves to shoot from long range.

 

Diovion Middleton 6-5, Shooting Guard, Wings Academy, OTN, Class of 2023 - A guard that is very strong and has plenty of toughness in his game and is able to absorb contact when going up for a basket. Is able to push the ball up the court and has plenty of physicality when it comes to posting up against smaller players.

 

Shawn Fulcher 5-11, Point Guard, Scotland Campus Preparatory School (PA), OTN, Class of 2022 - A guard that likes to pass the ball and is great at setting up his teammates for passes that lead to assists. Loves to run down court and has jet-like quickness every time. Also has an affinity for scoring in bunches and is very fearless when going to the hole, absorbing contact and drawing fouls easily.

 

Jesse Segura 6-4, Forward, Wings Academy, We Got Next, Class of 2023 - A forward that is physically imposing and has the ability to play big and can absorb physical contact. Is able to power his way to the hole and can muscle his way to the basket. Is fearless as he goes up for two and can draw fouls easily.

 

Trayvon Turner, 6-2, Shooting Guard, Leake & Watts School, We Got Next, Class of 2022 - A guard that has a penchant for scoring at ease. Has to have the ball in his hands to maintain a presence in the game. Is able to bring the ball up and can make passes to teammates that are moving around.

 

Preston Edmead 5-9, Point Guard, Deer Park High School, Route Gang, Class of 2024 - A guard that is very deceptive with the ball when on the fast break. Knows when to pass to his teammates and also has good shot selection Has good hands and defensive posture, which renders him able to get steals, which allows him to either get to the basket or get him an assist.

 

Jarrett Dingle 6-1, Point Guard, The Academy School, Route Gang, Class of 2023 - A guard with plenty of strength that is not afraid of physical contact and does not back down from a challenge. Has plenty of athleticism when going to the basket. Has an excellent shooting stroke from three-point range and does not hesitate to break a team’s defense with his quickness.
