2018 Lincoln Park Summer League

On this Monday evening, we went to the South Ozone Park section of Queens for the Lincoln Park Classic. The best of the best in Queens and the tri-state area come out to the courts of the Frederick B. Judge Playground. Here goes the names of the standouts that held their own on the hallowed grounds.


Will Kondrat, 6-7, Forward, Our Saviour Lutheran High School, SE Stars, Class of 2018 - Versatile forward that runs well across the floor. Has a lot of athleticism. Grabs rebounds and is a good scorer.


Michael Richardson, 6-2, Forward, Cardinal Hayes High School, SE Stars, Class of 2018 - A big man with good size. Very mobile. Has good post moves.


Wahaad Johnson, 6-0, Point Guard, Bedford Academy, Empire United, Class of 2018 - Quick player that can run well in transition. Needs to finish layups consistently. Possesses good ballhandling skills.


Pete Pavlidis, 6-7, Forward, Benjamin Cardozo High School, SE Stars, Class of 2018 - A mobile forward that is agile. Good at rebounder. Needs to add a jumper.


Bryce Arroyo, 5-11, Shooting Guard, Samuel Gompers High School, Empire United, Class of 2019- A guard that has plenty of explosion. A player that can score at will. Could use more of a jumper.


Jaylen Davis, 6-3, Shooting Guard, Benjamin Cardozo High School, Empire United, Class of 2019 -Needs to let game come to him. Good facilitator. Has to take his time when going for a layup.


Josiah Wright, 5-11, Point Guard, High School of Construction, SE United, Class of 2018 - Plays like a point guard. Sets teammates up for basket. Normally a scorer, but didn’t make baskets. Made up for it with setting up teammates.


Bernard Kouma, 6-10, Forward, Our Saviour Lutheran High School, PD Nation, Class of 2019 - Versatile player that is skilled in the post. Great rebounder. Can easily draw fouls. Has great moves around the paint.


Moussa Cisse, 6-11, Center, Christ the King High School, Lyte Ballas, Class of 2021 - Needs to develop jumper. An imposing presence on the floor. Shot blocker. Needs to be careful when going for blocks, so that he won’t be called for fouls.


TJ Morris, 6-3, Shooting Guard,  Abraham Lincoln High School, Lyte Ballas, Class of 2021 - A player with a lot of explosion. Needs to shoot more. Looks to score when he has the ball in his hand: Able to absorb contact.


Kayvontay Williams, 6-0, Shooting Guard, Lincoln Academy (GA), PD Nation, Class of 2020 - An aggressive scorer that goes hard to the basket. Has a lot of quickness. Needs to cut down on turnovers.


Sterling Jones, 5-10, Point Guard, Christ the King High School, Lyte Ballas, Class of 2021 - A pass-first guard. Knows how to pick his shots. Great facilitator.


Tymell Stevenson, 6-7, Forward, St. Mary’s High School, Lyte Ballas, Class of 2021 - A player that has good ballhandling skills. Great at going to the basket. Has a long wingspan that allows him to block shots on defense. Needs to get stronger.


Tayjon Lynch, 5-9, Shooting Guard, Queens High School of Teaching, PD Nation, Class of 2018 - High-volume shooter. Is a three-point shooting threat. Loves to go to the hole.


Gary Grant, 6-4, Forward, St. Raymond High School, Very Impressive, Class of 2020 - Very aggressive when going to the basket. Very athletic. Has to cut down on turnovers. Can anticipate contact.


Quaran McPherson, 6-3, Combo Guard, Christ the King High School, D1 Stars, Class of 2020 - Good at facilitating & finding teammates. Loves to drive into the lane. Needs to shoot more jumpers.


Nate Tabor, 6-6, Shooting Guard, Sacred Heart High School, D1 Stars, Class of 2020 - Explosive scorer that has a knack for going to the rim. Draws fouls easily. makes strong drives to the basket.


Jonathan Kuminga, 6-7, Forward, Huntington Prep, D1 Stars, Class of 2021 - A player with a long wingspan & explosion. Needs to improve jumpshot.


Alejandro Vasquez, 6-3, Shooting Guard, The Patrick School, Very Impressive, Class of 2019 - A player that likes to score. Dangerous long-range shooter. Very aggressive at going to the basket for his points.
