St Joseph's by the Sea 2021-22 Roster Preview
Saint Joseph by the Sea High of Staten Island is in the CHSAA A division. They return a senior class that won the city championship at the JV level two years ago. Head Coach Mike Cortese entering his 10th season, played his college basketball at The College of Mount Saint Vincent. He also spent two and a half seasons as an assistant coach with Division II Molloy College before taking over his alma mater of Saint Joes. Here are the key players for 2021-22:
Dorian Paki (2022) 6’6, 190lbs, forward - Long wing span with the ability to alter shots and guard from the arc to the block. Soft touch around the rim. Can handle the ball in the open court. Continues to work on his outside shot. 3.5 gpa
John Molloy (2022) 6’5, 195lbs forward - Blue collar big who does all the little things to help his team win. Lefty who can score through traffic and can knock down the outside shot if left open. Defends well in the post and continues to work on his foot speed to guard the perimeter. 3.9 gpa
Kendall Arcuri (2022) 6’4, 185lbs, forward - Crafty lefty with a nose for the ball. Can score at the basket and beyond the arc. Changes speed with ability to knock down the pull up mid range shot. Uses his length and has great hands around the rim rebounding through traffic. 3.5 gpa
Danny Marinaccio (2022) 6’0, 170lbs, guard - Knock down shooter from deep with a high basketball IQ. Rebounds well for a guard and has great defensive spacing. Improving his ability to handle in the open court. 3.3 gpa
Christian Zanone (2022) 6’1, 165lbs, guard - Strong motor that excels downhill in transition and on the ball defensively. Can knock down the open shot and makes good decisions coming off of PnR. Working on handling in the open court. 3.2 gpa
Anthony Graziano (2023)- 6’6, 215lbs forward - Strong physical forward who can score through contact and with a soft touch. Active on the defensive end with great hands for rebounding through traffic. Continues to work on stretching the defense with his outside game. 3.5 gpa
Laurent Kingue (2023) 6’4, 190lbs, forward - Big body that is constantly active around the paint. Has a knack for the basketball and is not afraid to get physical. Can finish around the rim and is working this off season on his range. 3.6 gpa
Christian Greeley (2023) 6’2, 165lbs, point guard - True floor general with solid command in the open court. Can get to the basket in a variety ways and loves setting up his teammates. Continues to work on consistently knocking down the mid range pull up. Long tough on the ball defender who likes to crash the boards. 3.7 gpa
Xavier Barrow (2023) 6’0, 150lbs, point guard - Heady guard who thrives in the open court. A threat from beyond the arc with a soft touch around the rim over bigs. Continuing to improve his overall defense each day. 3.0 gpa
