Archbishop Molloy Open Gym Standouts 9/28/21
Archbishop Molloy High of Queens, NY are perennial contenders in the Catholic High School Athletic Association. They are head coached by Mike McCleary. Below are the standout players from their Open Gym play this week:
Josh Decady (2023) 6’6 - Champion motivator towards his teammates and is flexible when faced with unexpected challenges. Extremely athletic and comfortable around the rim. Huge dunking game, improvement with his mid range game. Incredible energy and talent overall.
Malachi McMillian (2023) 6’0 - Displays great leadership skills on the court Intense and focused on all aspects of the game. He has a hunger to win at all times He brings speed and incredible defense to the game. Very confident, strong and is able to play both sides of the court with ease.
Desmond Ward (2022) 6’5 - Runs the floor well and finishes smooth around the basket .Excellent rebounder. Constantly showing maturity despite challenging situations in the game. His long and lean stature changes the opponents shot around the basket. Able to add points silently and continue the momentum of the game.
Chase Robinson (2022) 5’11 - Major impact player, Great ball handler who is a master of protecting the ball . Able to push the ball and get it to the open man for a quick easy shot and can get to the rim. Target shooter who is college ready.
Jayden James (2023) 6’3 - Slasher who brings excitement to the game. Very confident player who is never scared of contact. Gets to the basket with ease and knows how to draw fouls. Incredible improvement from Freshman year to present.
Jack Guevara (2023) 5’10 - High IQ point guard that knows how to set up the teammate that’s in the best position to score . Great at shooting the three point field goal and beyond. Exceptional ball handling skills and solid defensive player.
Emmanuel Ikioda (2023) 6’3 - Displays strength, toughness and versatility throughout the game. Always looking to improve his game .Great defender that knows how to get to the rim. Aggressive player who dives for 50/50 balls and is good at denying his opponent.
John McCabe (2022) 6’3 - Great leader and a very unselfish player. Huge improvement on mid range and confident Shooting the long ball.
