DTX Basketball 17u Red College Prospects
DTX Basketball is a Fairfield County, CT based grassroots program that focuses on developing high academic players into college basketball prospects. They are lead coached by Dave Taylor, a 25 year veteran in coaching.
On October 10, DTX’s 17u Red Team won the Zero Gravity TriState run CT Jamboree tournament. To quote Zero Gravity Tri-State, DTX’s 17u Red team “is full of college level players and beat a fantastic team to bring home the ‘ship!”.

Colin Vigeant (2023) 6’2 guard Fairfield Warde High School (CT) – Colin is an excellent scorer and has ability to handle pressure. He’s a skilled play-maker, ball handler, and passer, and has a high basketball IQ. He’s a good defender and is continuing to improve every time he hits the floor. 3.95 gpa Website
Jack Balsano (2023) 6’2 guard Fairfield Warde High School (CT) – Jack is an above average shooter and is willing to do the dirty work to help his team win. Jack is an energy and effort player with solid on ball defense and a solid weak side help defender. He sets solid tuff screens and is a terrific communicator on the floor. 3.2 gpa Website
Matt Amarante (2023) 6’3 guard Wooster School (CT) - Matt Amarante is just scratching the surface of his potential. Matt is a big guard with the ability to post-up smaller guards or rise up and stick a jumper over an opponent. He’s an exceptional 3-point shooter and possesses a mid-range with a quick release. He’s a savvy player and understands how to play. As he continues to get stronger, he will be a player with huge upside. 3.6 gpa Website
Mason Pratt (2023) 6’1 guard St. Luke’s School (CT) - Mason is a physical swingman with a forward’s strength and a guard’s skills. He is an aggressive rebounder with great ball instincts, uses his body well, and can guard any position. He’s always the toughest player out on the floor. 4.1 gpa Website
David Melson (2024) 6’3 guard Fairfield Warde High School (CT) - David is an elite shooter with a quick release and can hit shots from anywhere on the floor. David has a high basketball IQ and knocks down open shots. David is a gym rat and plays with a chip on his shoulder. 3.7 gpa Website
Brandon Francisco (2022) 6’0 guard Masuk High School (CT) – Brandon is a combo guard with terrific 3-point shooting ability. Brandon is deceptively athletic and is able to defend bigger players. A savvy lefty, he can be very difficult to defend attacking the basket. 4.3 gpa ACT: 30 Website
Najimi George (2024) 6’3 guard Kolbe Cathedral High School (CT) – Naj is a definite Division 1 prospect. He’s a long combo guard with the ability to score at 3 levels and is exceptional off the dribble. Naj is an elite defender who can shoot 3s and post. He consistently hits the mid-range jumper and utilizes his quickness to explode to the basket. He’s working to improve hedging when his guy is setting on-ball screens. 3.3 gpa Website
Lorenzo Almonte (2022) 6’0 guard Bethel High School (CT) – Lorenzo is a guard with a high basketball IQ and is an excellent team defender. Lorenzo is a floor general, and his leadership skills are off the charts. He can drive and kick, post up, and make 3s. He’s a good on ball defender and can guard 1-3. He will also box out, take charges, and make winning plays. 3.6 gpa Website
