2021 Ready or Not Showcase Top Performers

On November 11, RecruitTheBronx.com paid a visit to the Basketball Results Fieldhouse in East Massapequa, Long Island for the Real Scout Basketball “Ready or Not” event, which was a final tuneup of sorts for a few programs from Long Island and New York City before the impending high school season. Here are some of the standouts from the event:

 

Youssouf Singare 6-11, Forward, Upper Room Christian School, Class of 2023 - A forward with a large wingspan who can dominate on both ends of the floor. Is able to attack from the glass when it comes to getting rebounds and can swat away shots from the opposition. Has the ability to own the rim when he’s on the offensive end.

 

Jean Aranguren 6-3, Shooting Guard, Upper Room Christian School, Class of 2023 - A guard that is very shifty on the offensive end and makes great moves off the dribble. Has a penchant for having a terrific shot selection and can make a huge impact when in the game. Knows when to use his body when he gets into the lane.

 

Dante Green 6-3, Shooting Guard, Upper Room Christian School, Class of 2024 - A guard who can see the floor and is a good distributor to his teammates. Loves to drive to the basket and has great body control when going to the basket. Has excellent court vision and is able to find great ways to get to the hole.

 

Maurice Butler, 5-8, Point Guard,Upper Room Christian School, Class of 2022 - A guard that is very crafty and can make great decisions when on the court. Has a penchant for getting good shots off from the perimeter. Is able to shred the defense of the opposition and can get to the basket with ease.

 

Erick Perez, 6-3, Forward, Upper Room Christian School, Class of 2023 - An undersized forward that has plenty of toughness and can attack the glass with precision and can be an asset to his team in the clutch. Is a good ball handler and can get to the lane and finish in traffic at all times. Is very good at using his physicality to draw fouls.

 

Anthony Reyes 5-10, Point Guard, Upper Room Christian School, Class of 2025 - A guard that is a great playmaker and can be very crafty on the offensive end. Has a penchant for getting his shot off when he’s on the perimeter. Knows when to attack the lane and getting to the basket and has great defensive tendencies.

 

Zaire Baines 5-10, Shooting Guard, Portledge School, Class of 2022 - A guard that has a penchant for playing tough and aggressive and is also a team leader on the floor. Has the ability to use his physicality when going to the basket and can easily draw fouls. Is able to create for himself off the dribble.

 

Anthony Follet 6-4, Forward, Portledge School, Class of 2023 -A forward with good size and plenty of strength. Is able to maintain his presence in the post area and can run well downcourt. Has the ability to use his toughness when going up for rebounds or going to score.

 

Aazayah Ross 6-0, Shooting Guard, Portledge School, Class of 2022 - A guard that has the ability to play tough hard-nosed defense and is able to make plays with precision. Does not back down from any challenges that are presented to him on the court.  Is able to use his physicality to get to the lane and score.

 

Joe Scandalios, 5-10, Point Guard, Portledge School, Class of 2022 - A guard that has the ability to get his shot off with precision. Is able to make good plays and never passes up an opportunity to make great plays on the floor. Has the ability to drive to the basket fearlessly.

 

Luke Cronin 6-7, Forward, Great Neck North High School, Class of 2023 - A forward that is skilled and has great footwork. Is able to back his man down and is able to shoot over a smaller defender. Knows how to put the ball on the floor and establish a defensive presence. Is also a solid rebounder.

 

Jared Oheb, 6-0, Shooting Guard, Great Neck North High School, Class of 2022 - A guard that can create for himself around certain areas of the court. Is able to see where his teammates are moving around the floor and can attack when in transition. Is a pass-first guard that knows how to get his teammates involved.

 

Dylan Morad, 6-2, Forward, Great Neck North High School, Class of 2023 - An undersized forward that uses his size to get rebounds and establish his presence on the floor. Is able to be a force and uses his body to stop the opposition from getting to the paint easily. Is not afraid of contact when it comes to physical play.

 

Zekerea Alyshka, 6-3, Shooting Guard, Broome Street Academy, Class of 2022 - A guard that is a great facilitator and looks for his teammates at the right spots. Is able to see the floor when he’s off the ball and can attack in transition. Finds his way to the free-throw line efficiently & also has a nice shot from three-point range.

 

Jaden Arroyo, 6-0, Point Guard, Broome Street Academy, Class of 2022 - A guard that loves to be on the break and has a penchant for finding his teammates at the right spots. Is able to run out and attack on the break and can create for himself on the floor.  Uses his speed efficiently when he’s on the court.

 

Michael Hall, 6-0, Point Guard, Baldwin High School, Class of 2022 - A guard that is able to put the ball on the floor and facilitate to his teammates. Has a penchant for driving to the basket and isn’t afraid of being fouled. Is able to control a team on the perimeter.

 

Joshua Peyton, 6-4, Shooting Guard, Baldwin High School, Class of 2023 - A guard that is very active on the floor and loves to run on the floor. Likes to attack when he has the ball. Sees great opportunities to capitalize on the floor for good baskets and uses them. Is able to get steals when on the floor.

 

Jacob Oka, 6-5, Shooting Guard, Baldwin High School, Class of 2022 - A guard that can play tough and has great defensive tendencies. Is superbly athletic and finds a way to get to the rim efficiently. Has great hands which allow him to get rebounds and also block shots. Is able to get steals and run on the fast break.

 

Cadeem Ramsey, 6-5, Forward, Baldwin High School, Class of 2022 - A forward that is long and agile and is a very layer that has great defensive tendencies. Is very athletic and loves to play above the rim. Loves to run the floor and is very agile.

 

Tijae Julien, 5-9, Shooting Guard, Grady Educational Campus, Class of 2023 - A guard that is quick and shifty and can find ways to get to the basket. Is very alert when he’s on defense, as he is able to pickpocket the opposition into giving up the ball and can get across the court to get to the basket.
