2022 Battle at the Shore Standouts

On Sunday, January 30,  RecruitTheBronx.com was at South Shore High School in the Flatlands section of Brooklyn for the Battle at the Shore event. This event featured multiple PSAL teams in action. We caught two of the games. There were some talented standouts from all four of those schools:


Christopher Judge 6-1, Point Guard, John Bowne High School, Class of 2024 -A guard that has the ability to run the point with ease and precision when on the perimeter. Is lightning-quick and likes to get steals when guarding his defender. Is able to absorb physical contact when it comes to him driving to the basket.


Rasean Greer 6-1, Point Guard, John Bowne High School, Class of 2022 - A guard that is very active on both sides of the court. Is a player that can make some great plays on the offensive end. Makes plenty of drives to the basket and is great at drawing fouls in order to get to the free throw line. Likes to play defense and is able to use his hands in order to block shots, get rebounds and run or get steals.


Jamere Russell 6-3, Shooting Guard, John Bowne High School, Class of 2023 - A guard that finds plenty of ways to get open on the perimeter. Finds ways to make his presence felt around the perimeter. Is able to find a way to get his shot off and can make great drives to the basket. Has a nice shooting stroke whenever he goes for a jumper.


Adam Jerome 6-4, Forward, John Bowne High School, Class of 2025 - A forward that is able to establish his presence in the low post area. Is able to attack the glass easily and can make good passes when in the paint area. Is able to absorb contact when going up for a basket and is able to draw fouls in order to get to the free throw line.


Djibril Diallo, 6-1, Shooting Guard, John Bowne High School, Class of 2022 - A guard that is able to create for himself on the offensive end and loves to drive in the post area. Knows when to drive and also when to kick out a pass to his streaking teammates. Can find ways to get open for a shot.


Chisom Ani 6-7, Forward, John Bowne High School, Class of 2022 - A forward that can make his presence felt by boxing out and getting rebounds. Is the team’s enforcer and is solid when in the post. Is able to hold his own in the paint area and is a huge asset to his teammates.


Adam Jasaraj, 6-2, Forward, Susan E. Wagner High School, Class of 2022 - A forward that has plenty of strength and is hard working when on the floor. Is very active when on the defensive end and makes plenty of hustle plays. Has the ability to fight for rebounds when in the low post.


Mekhi Jackson 6-4, Forward, Susan E. Wagner High School, Class of 2024 - A forward with great size and a nice skill set. Is able to box out the opposition with ease and finds ways to obtain rebounds. On the offensive end, he can glide to the basket when off the ball and score efficiently when going up to the basket.


Emmanuel Palmer, 5-11, Shooting Guard, Susan E. Wagner High School, Class of 2022 - A guard that likes to play tough and can make big plays. When in the low post, he can absorb contact and is capable of taking plenty of hits. Is able to showcase his athleticism by blocking shots and going up for a basket on the offensive end. Is a tremendous defender that aims to get steals at all times.


Xavier Barrow 5-11, Point Guard, Susan E. Wagner High School, Class of 2023 - A guard that is alert at all times and knows when to make the right plays. Is able to stick with his man at all times on the defensive end. Is lightning-fast when on the offensive end and loves to speed down court with every intention of getting to the basket.


Justin Nazon 6-3, Shooting Guard, Susan E. Wagner High School, Class of 2023 - A guard that has a penchant for putting his teammates in the right positions to score when on the floor. Is a player that has excellent court vision and sees the floor well. Is able to get off his shot off easily and has a nice shooting stroke.


Adrian Kopec 6-4, Forward, Susan E. Wagner High School, Class of 2022 - A guard that is able to step in and out and can free himself in order to get shots. Is able to absorb contact in order to obtain rebounds or score. Is very strong and is able to hold his own in the post area and has great upper-body strength.


Juan Cosme, 6-6, Forward, Susan E. Wagner High School, Class of 2022 - A forward that has long arms and plenty of strength. Is the team’s anchor in the frontcourt and is depended on for rebounds and block shots. His wingspan is tremendous and is definitely something that is counted on by his team. Although he didn’t score much, his size and defensive skills were definitely useful to his team.


Max Ragusa 6-0, Point Guard, South Shore High School, Class of 2022 - A guard that can play tough and is a player with a lot of offensive skills on the floor. Has excellent court vision and knows when to take shots and when to pass to his teammates. Has a good shooting stroke from the outside.


Davin Francis 6-6, Shooting Guard, South Shore High School, Class of 2022 - A guard with a long wingspan that aids in him getting rebounds and one that uses his strength at crucial moments in the game. Loves to drive to the basket and can play above the rim, using his athleticism with ease. Has a good shooting stroke from the outside.


Jarrett Dingle 6-2, Point Guard, South Shore High School, Class of 2023 - A guard that is quick and has a penchant for scoring in bunches. Is a player that is very athletic and finds ways to get open shots from the perimeter. Is able to create for himself off the dribble and can get his shot off efficiently.


Donzell Hamilton 5-11, Shooting Guard, James Monroe Campus, Class of 2022 - A guard that is bound to score everytime he gets on the floor. Is able to play in a run and gun offense designed to get him to the basket with ease. Is a player that can shoot from long range and has a good shooting stroke.


Harry Bonilla 5-11, Point Guard, James Monroe Campus High School, Class of 2022 - A guard that has the ability to get his points with ease. Likes to shoot from long range and can make plenty of shots from wherever he may be at, whether on the three-point line or if he’s driving to the basket. Is able to absorb contact when he’s driving to the hole and is fearless when it comes to getting fouled.
