Established in 2019,  CT Takeover is one of the fastest growing, highly competitive grass roots programs in Connecticut. They are lead by skills trainer, Darren Gilbert. This year alone, they’ve had join them, 5 All State and 13 All Conference selections, and about 15 players who made it to the state’s Final 4 and/or Championship games. CT Takeover’s goals are to get their kids as much college scout exposure as possible, get them placed at the collegiate level and set them up to be successful young men.

Here’s some of the college prospects currently in the CT Takeover 17u programs:

Dylan Resendes (2023) 5’10 guard, Rockville High (CT)- A high IQ guard who can score at all 3 levels. He makes smart decisions with the ball, and is quickly learning to adjust to the high level competition and faster game speed. He will be dangerous during July live period.

Jaydon Jackson (2023) 6’5 swing Notre Dame West Haven (CT) - An academic student athlete, a 3.4.gpa in heavy honors classes curriculum. Jackson can play both inside and outside. He is very comfortable shooting the three. He uses his length and athleticism to defend the rim. To become a more attractive college prospect, he needs to get into the weight room and become more comfortable attacking the rim from the wing.

Nick Preschel (2023) 6’5 swing, Notre Dame-West Haven (CT). Preschel is another player that can play both inside and outside. High IQ. He also needs to get in the weight room to further his opportunities at the next level. 3.7 gpa

Micheal Coggins (2024) 6’4 swing, Suffield High (CT) - Coggins was named All State as a sophomore. He is a lefty that can play 1-4 on both sides of the ball. He can score at all three levels. His ceiling is high, projecting to be a low D1/D2 player. Colleges are already taking interest in him. Has been playing up in age levels for CT Takeover since 7th grade.

Amari Cruz (2024) 6’3 wing, Innovation ASI (CT) - Cruz is one of the most athletic wings in the state. He has a very high motor and is very active on both sides of the ball. He needs to work on his outside shot and tighten up his handle. He will make a college coach very happy. Good grades and even better kid and teammate.

Quentin Ford (2024) 6’3 wing, Manchester High (CT) - Ford is another very athletic prospect in the CT TO program. He can score at all 3 levels and is great off the bounce. He can play 1-3. He is another very high IQ player.  As he invests in working to be more consistent from the outside, his college interest levels will rise.

Mekhi Seth (2024) 6’0 guard, Maloney High (CT) Seth is a lights out shooter from the outside. He has kept CT TO in games all spring when he gets hot. He also needs to get in the weight room and get more comfortable attacking the rim That will make him a very dangerous scorer.
