2022 The Collision Top Performers

On Saturday, June 4, RecruitTheBronx.com paid a visit to Long Island Lutheran High School in the Brookville suburb of Long Island for The Collision, a three-day event put together by Eleve11 Hoops. In the two games, we got to see two great games in the 17u division and the 16u division, respectively. Here are the standouts from those games:


Kapok Sharpe, 6-2 guard, City of Life Christian Academy (FL), Rising Stars, Class of 2023 (17U) - A guard that has the ability to see the floor well and is able to direct his team on the court. Is able to drive to the basket efficiently and is a great finisher. Is able to shoot from long range and is able to get his shot off well, plus he has a nice shooting touch.efficiently and finish well. Has the ability to pass the ball well.

 

Chase Robinson 6-0 point guard, Archbishop Molloy High School, Rising Stars, Class of 2022 (17u) - A guard that has plenty of quickness and is able to drive to the basket with ease. Has the ability to get to the hole and is able to get past his defender easily. Can be a dangerous shooter from long range, especially when not being heavily guarded.

 

Tristan Davis 6-7 forward, Frederick Gun School (CT), Rising Stars, Class of 2023 (17u) - A forward that has the ability to make their presence felt in the post area. Has the ability to drive to the basket easily and is able to put the ball on the floor. Is able to muscle his way to the basket and is able to showcase his athleticism by throwing down powerful dunks when at the rim.

 

Jon Medley 6-3 shooting guard, Wilbraham & Monson Academy (MA), Rising Stars, Class of 2023 (17u) - A guard that has the ability to do many things on the court. Is able to make hustle plays easily, and is able to get to get steals and rebounds on both ends of the court. Has the ability to shoot from long range & is a huge threat on the three-point line when he is not being heavily-guarded.

 

Greg Cantwell 6-3 shooting guard, St. Andrew’s School (Ri), Rising Stars, Class of 2023 (17u) - A guard that has the ability to make plenty of shots on the perimeter and is a potent threat. Is able to move around off the ball and is great at catching and shooting. Is a hot three-point shooter at all times & even when being guarded, he has no fear in shooting the ball.that can break down the opposition in a zone defense.

 

Benjamin Lyttle 6-5 small forward, Archbishop Stepinac High School, Team Diffrnt, Class of 2023 (17u) - A small forward that is able to get to the ball at all times. Is able to make hustle plays and finds ways to grab rebounds and block shots every time on the defensive end. Is able to get to the basket with ease by driving & is great at finishing at the hole.

 

Kenneth Satterfield, Jr, 6-2 guard Whitehall-Yearling High School (OH), Team Diffrnt, Class of 2023 (17u) - A guard that has the ability to make plenty of great decisions when he has the ball in his hands. A floor general that can be very creative on the offensive end, especially when it comes to him setting up his teammates for passes that could lead to them being able to score. Has a good jumper that he uses during certain moments in a game and the ability to drive past the opposition to finish strongly at the basket.

 

Seck Zongo 6-6, Forward, Whitehall-Yearling High School (OH), Team Diffrnt, Class of 2023 (17u) - A forward that plays with strength and plenty of precision in the low post. Has plenty of leaping ability, which he uses very well on the offensive end. Has the ability to play above the rim, as he is a great finisher when throwing down powerful dunks. Has a point wingspan, which aids in him obtaining rebounds.


JaIden Williams 6-3 shooting guard Cardinal Hayes High School, Team Diffrnt, Class of 2023 (17u ) - A guard that has the ability to play with plenty of poise and hustle on the court. Has the ability to help his teammates get the ball and is willing to dive on the floor for loose balls. When going to the basket, he is able to finish at the rim.

 

Taj Bryant 6-2, Point Guard, Eagle Academy II, Black Ops, Class of 2024 (16u) - A guard that is a true floor general on the court and is able to make his teammates better on the floor. Is a player that has the ability to change speeds and decide whether he wants to dish it off or go to the basket. Has the ability to get to the basket easily & can find ways to finish when trying to score and draw fouls in order to get to the free-throw line.

 

Vere Anthony 6-0 point guard, St. Francis Preparatory High School, Black Ops, Class of 2025 (16u) - A guard that has the ability to bring plenty of energy to his team whenever he is playing. Is great at getting steals and can get down court easily. Has the ability to score with ease when he drives to the lane and goes up strong with the intention to finish. Is able to shoot and has a nice touch on his jumpshot.

 

Johnny Pierce 6-8, Forward, Windsor High School (CT), Black Ops, Class of 2024 (16u) - A forward that has a long wingspan and uses his length to obtain rebounds and block shots. Loves to run downcourt at all times. Has good footwork & is able to contest or alter the shots of the opposition.

 

Jayden Ramirez 6-5 shooting guard, Christ the King High School, Black Ops, Class of 2025 (16u) - A guard that is able to get his baskets in many ways. Has the ability to grab rebounds and is able to score by driving to the basket off the dribble. Has a penchant for knocking down plenty of shots from long range. Has great body control when going up for a basket, as he is able to absorb contact in order to draw a foul.

 

Mike Spisto  5-8 point guard, St. Peter’s High School, Black Ops, Class of 2024 (16u) - A guard that is diminutive in stature, but bigger in heart because of his passion for the game and his tenacity. Is able to get his shot off efficiently and has a nice form and release. Has the ability to get to the basket with ease.

 

Caleb Crawford 6-1 point guard, Loomis Chaffee School, Riverside Church, Class of 2024 (16u) - A guard that is a spark plug that can give his team good minutes and energy on the floor. Is able to to take on whatever challenge is placed in front of him, including making strong drives to the basket and looking to be fouled in order to draw fouls. Has a penchant for making shots from long range and can facilitate to his teammates.

 

Bryce Simmons 6-0 point guard,  Monsignor Scanlan High School, Riverside Church, Class of 2023 (16u) - A guard that is a great decision-maker and has plenty of knowledge on how to play his position. Has great upper-body strength and uses that to his advantage when he goes up for a layup. Is able to pull up and shoot from the perimeter. Is good at dishing the ball to his teammates at the right places and putting them in position to score.

 

David Dix, 5-10 point guard, St. Benedict’s Preaparatory High School, Riverside Church, Class of 2024 (16u) - A guard with quickness and a player that can drive to the basket with poise. Is able to see the floor well and is able to use good moves to get past his defender and when he goes up for a basket, he is able to absorb contact to draw a foul and get to the free-throw line. Is able to pass the ball to his teammates and put them in position to score.
