2017 Super 16 Showcase

This past weekend (December 16-17) Recruit the Bronx was on hand to watch The Super 16 Showcase at In-Tech Academy in Bronx, NY. The tournament featured 4 Post Graduate programs and 7 HS programs. The tournament is run by Tennessee Prep Academy President and Head Coach Harold Rayford.
Here are our top prospects:
Elijah Kiah El 2018 6’7 Forward Covenant College Prep (Post Graduate) - attacks the basket strong, has a grown man body, powerful dunker, can finish with either hand thru contact, makes good passes, good rebounder. Needs to work on his outside shot and perimeter handle to be a SF at the next level.
Momar Sakanoko 2018 6’7 Forward Train Like A Pro Academy (Post Graduate) - long arms, attacks the basket strong, quick hands on defense, decent handle. Needs to work on his outside shot and be more aggressive on the boards.
Will Magnum 2018 6’7 Forward Tennessee Prep Academy (Post Graduate) - putback finisher, good defender, can finish thru contact, good mid-range catch and shoot game. Needs to handle the ball more in the perimeter. University of Missouri - Kansas City Commit.
Anthony Mason 2018 6’10 Center Tennessee Prep Academy (Post Graduate) - big body, ability to handle the ball on the break, gets up and down the court well, can finish thru traffic inside, good rebounder. Needs to be consistently aggressive for the whole game and develop low post moves.
Darius Carter 2018 6’0 Guard Tennessee Prep Academy (Post Graduate) - jump out of the gym athleticism explodes off the floor, alley oop threat, good elevation on his jumper. Streaky shooter.
Leland Kirkendoll 2018 5’8 Point Guard Tennessee Prep Academy (Post Graduate) - coach on the floor, good speed, good playmaker, pesky perimeter defender, keeps defenders off balance with his handle. Needs to look for his shot more.
Jordan Graham 2018 6’6 Wing Tennessee Prep Academy (Post Graduate) - can score inside out, disciplined defender good instincts, good mid-range shot, can handle on the perimeter. Needs to add muscle and be more aggressive on offense.
Anthony Marshall 2020 5’10 Point Guard Metro BDA - floor general, one of the top guards in NYC, attacks the basket strong, adept at drawing fouls, shifty habdle, can finish thru traffic, good court vision. Kenneth Hines 2018 6’5 Forward Metro BDA - strong body, can get to the rim at ease, good footwork inside, can finish thru contact, runs the floor well. Needs to work on his vertical and
a mid-range game.
Trey Clarke 2018 6’4 Wing Metro BDA - good shot off the dribble, attacks the basket strong, moves well without the ball, active defender. Needs to be more aggressive on the boards.
Damion Baugh 2018 6’4 Combo Guard Lincoln Academy (GA) - patient scorer, attacks the basket aggressively, great speed with the ball, flashy playmaker with good court vision, quick hands on defense, long arms. Needs to be a more consistent outside shooter.
Myreon Jones 2018 6’4 Shooting Guard Lincoln Academy (GA) - can get hot from 3pt range, good slashing moves on the drive, can finish thru traffic, hustles hard on both ends of the floor. Needs to be more aggressive on defense.
Moulaye Sissoko 2019 6’10 Center Lincoln Academy (GA) - strong athletic build, strong inside finisher, can protect the paint,good rebounder, explosive leaper. Needs to secure the ball better on the catch and develop a low post game.
Harouna Sissoko 2019 6’7 Forward Lincoln Academy (GA) - power dunker, consistent putback finisher, athletic rebounder. Needs to work on his outside shot and handle to be a SF at the next level.
Antavion Collumn 2019 6’8 Point Forward Tennessee Prep Academy (TN) - can rise up and finish strong thru traffic, coast to coast finisher, alley oop threat, good rebounder, disciplined defender, high IQ on both ends, good court awareness. Needs to be a more consistent outside shooter
Emmanuel Umoffia 2018 7’2 Center Tennessee Prep Academy (TN) - good rebounder, can protect the rim with his long arms and size, good athleticism at his size, decent hands. Needs to be a consistent inside finisher, get up and down the court quicker, and be more aggressive on the court.
Zahir Porter 2018 6’4 Shooting Our Saviour Lutheran (Post Graduate) - good 3pt shooter, can finish thru traffic on the drive, shifty handle, quick hands on defense, hustles on both ends, long and lanky frame. Needs to move his feet quicker playing defense on the perimeter and add muscle. New York Institute of Technology Commit.
Kyle Harding 2018 6’3 Shooting Guard Our Saviour Lutheran (Post Graduate) - attacks the basket strong, decent playmaker, quick hands on defense, runs the break well, high IQ on both ends. Streaky shooter.
Ishmael Valdez 2018 6’8 Power Forward Our Saviour Lutheran (Post Graduate) - good rebounder, plays hard on defense, not afraid of contact. Needs to be a more consistent inside finisher and add muscle.
Damion Chung Qui 2018 5’9 Point Guard Our Saviour Lutheran (Post Graduate) - crafty finisher on the drive, good playmaker, quick handle, pesky perimeter defender with quick hands. Needs to be a more consistent outside shooter and become more of a floor general.
Luis Mora 2019 6’2 Guard Redemption Christian (MA) - good passer, tough player hustles hard on both ends, stays with the play, great enthusiasm. Needs to work on his athleticism to be more effective on the drive.
Makarios Rusa 2020 5’9 Guard Redemption Christian (MA) - attacks the basket strong, good court vision, makes good passes with either hand, good change of pace dribble, plays hard on both ends high energy. Needs to work on his outside shot.
James Kamich 2020 6’10 Center Redemption Christian (MA) - shot blocker, plays with a lot of energy, gets up and down the court well. Very skinny needs to add muscle to bang down low, good potential.
