Top of The Hill Classic Top Performers 7/11/22

On Monday, July 11,  RecruitTheBronx.com visited Top of the Hill Classic in the Soundview section of The Bronx. It is in this tournament that many of the city’s best come to show off their skills and always come ready to play. Here are the standouts from the two high school division games:

 

Tarique Foster 6-7, Forward, Putnam Science Academy (CT), Straight Out The Motherland, Class of 2023 - A forward that loves to run on the fast break and has plenty of strength. Is able to showcase his athleticism and is very dominant when it comes to being at the rim. Uses his length on both ends of the court, as he is a good rebounder and a good shot blocker.

 

Brandon Sinclair 6-9, Forward, St. Thomas More School (CT), , Straight Out The Motherland, 2023 - A forward that is able to make his presence felt on the floor with his size. Has a long wingspan that allows him to obtain rebounds every time he is on the floor. Is able to finish strong when at the rim. Has the ability to put the ball on the floor when on the offensive end.

 

Quincey Platt 6-8, Forward, Stevenson High School, Da Bay, Class of 2023 - A forward that is a huge asset on the floor to his teammates, due to his size and his defensive presence on the floor. Has the ability to put the ball on the floor and offense and finds ways not score. Is great at obtaining rebounds on both ends of the court.

 

Youssouf Singare 7-0, Forward, Our Saviour Lutheran High School, NFP, Class of 2023 - A forward that has a large frame and wingspan and has the ability to hustle on both ends of the court. Is able to put the ball on the floor on the perimeter and is great at making his presence felt on the defensive end, as he is a great shot blocker. Is a great finisher at the rim.

 

Armoni Zeigler 6-3, Shooting Guard, Our Saviour Lutheran High School, NFP, Class of 2023 - A guard that loves to run in transition and is able to get down court with ease. Is able to create for himself when on the floor and is able to pass the ball to his teammates at the right moments in order to get his teammates in position to score. Has superb athleticism on the offensive end and uses it to his advantage when going up for a basket.

 

Christian Jones 6-4, Shooting Guard, Our Saviour Lutheran High School, NFP, Class of 2023 - A guard that has good court vision with some size and nice frame. Is able to post up smaller defenders and get past them with ease. Has the ability to shoot jumpers from the perimeter and can drive to the basket easily.


Jose Abreu 5-8, Point Guard, Wings Academy, Good NRGY, Class of 2023 - A guard that has plenty of quickness on the floor and is a great decision maker with the ball. Has the ability to make sure that his teammates always get the ball. Has the ability to drive to the basket and is always able to absorb contact when he is fouled.

 

Nicholas Cortez 5-7, Valley Stream South, Good NRGY, 2023 - A guard that has the ability to showcase many of his skills on the court and is able to be an asset for his teammates. Has a lot of speed, as he is known to run on the fast break and is a person that likes to take plenty of shots. Is fearless when driving into the lane and is also a good shooter from the corner.
