Lincoln Park Classic Playoffs Top Performers 8/22/22

On Monday night, August 22,  RecruitTheBronx.com made it back to Lincoln Park-Judge Playground in South Ozone Park, Queens, for the playoffs at the Lincoln Park Classic. On this night, there were two games in which teams played in order to advance to the quarterfinals. Here are the standouts from Monday’s games:

 

Tylik Weeks 6-6 Scotland Campus Prep School, Lincoln Park, Class of 2023 - A forward that is mobile and is able to provide his team with versatility when he is on the court. Has the ability to get down court with ease and shows plenty of athleticism. Is great at absorbing contact when it comes to going up for a basket or going up for a rebound.

 

Jarrett Dingle 6-2, Point Guard, South Shore High School, Lincoln Park, Class of 2023 - A guard that has the ability to switch gears whenever he’s on the floor and looks to score at all times. Is very crafty & deceptive with the ball. Is able to absorb contact when driving to the basket & finds ways to get to the free-throw line.

 

Denym Leslie 6-3, Shooting Guard, Cardozo High School, Money Team, Class of 2023 - A guard that is very tough and is always ready to accept any challenge coming his way when on the court. Has excellent court vision and knows how to create for himself off the dribble. Is good for driving to the basket and goes up strong.

 

Iverson Plaza 5-9, Point Guard, Trinity-Pawling School, Money Team, Class of 2023 - A guard that is tough as nails and plays tough-hard nosed defense when on the other end. Is prone to sticking with his man and forcing him to give up the ball in order to obtain steals. Is able to get to the basket easily and go up strong.

 

Isaiah Wright 6-2, Shooting Guard, Cardozo High School, Money Team, Class of 2023 - A guard that has the ability to play with strength as he uses his long wingspan on defense and to get rebounds. Will back down his defender into the low post and will find his way to the basket easily. Is great at putting the ball on the floor and is a force at getting past his defender.

 

Lucius Gibson-Savadel 6-9, Forward, Millbrook School, Money Team, Class of 2023 - A forward with great size that has a huge presence in the paint area. Makes his presence felt in the paint area, as he is able to obtain rebounds and block shots in the post. When in the post on the offensive end, he is great at attacking the boards and getting putbacks or muscling his way to the hole.

 

Darryl Wright 5-7, Point Guard, Holy Redeemer School (PA), Team Nation, Class of 2023 - A guard that is quick and deceptive and backs down from no challenges when he’s on the floor. Has excellent court vision and knows when to speed up or slow down the tempo for his team. Will drive to the basket efficiently and can absorb contact and get to the free-throw line.

 

Adam Nije 6-2, Point Guard, Hillcrest Prep, (AZ), Team Nation, Class of 2024 - A guard that is very shifty and is able to make plenty of plays when he is on the court. Is a player that likes to glide to the basket and will take advantage of open lanes. Is a player that can facilitate to his teammates and will make sure that they get the ball at the most appropriate moments.

 

Wyatt Triestman 6-7, Forward, The Brunswick School, Team Nation, Class of 2023 - A forward that has a good wingspan and is always ready to battle it out on the court. Is able to outmuscle his opponents for rebounds and baskets & has the ability to get down the court efficiently. Has plenty of grit & gives plenty of effort when he’s on the court.

 

Mouhamed Dioubate 6-8, Forward, Putnam Science Academy, NYC Finest, Class of 2023 - A forward that has a penchant for being a dominant presence in the low post. Has the ability to block shots & use his strength to outmuscle others for rebounds. Is able to absorb physical contact when going up for a basket & is very athletic, as he is able to play above the rim.
