Gauchos Roundball Classic Championship Game Top Performers

On Sunday, October 30, Recruit The Bronx paid a visit to the Gauchos Gymnasium in The Bronx for the championship game between Nazareth Regional High and Archbishop Molloy, two of the finest programs in the CHSAA. In this matchup both teams battled it out to the very end, but it would be Nazareth, the A division team that would be victorious over the AA division team for the title. Here are the standouts from that game:


Sincere Folk 5-9, Point Guard, Archbishop Molloy High School, Class of 2026 -A guard that has an acute awareness of the game and is always aware of how to control the team. Has a penchant for driving to the basket and can also dish to his teammates when they are going to the basket. Has a nice shooting touch when shooting jumpers.

 

Jayden James 6-4, Shooting Guard, Archbishop Molloy High School, Class of 2023 - A guard that is very aggressive on both ends of the court and will find a way to take advantage of whatever opportunity there is to make an impact for his team. Loves to drive to the basket and will go all out on the offensive end. On defense, he has a penchant to get rebounds and even block shots if need be, using his athleticism.

 

Jahmire Brewer 6-8, Forward, Archbishop Molloy High School, Class of 2024 - A forward that has great footwork and can make his presence felt on the floor in so many ways. Knows when to put the ball on the floor and can drive to the hole. Uses his physicality on the court as he is either going up for a basket and is looking to draw a foul or is trying to battle it out for a rebound.

 

Kuba Cwalina 6-5, Forward, Archbishop Molloy High School, Class of 2023 (Middlebury College commit) - A forward that is looking to space the floor and is always ready to find an opportunity to get open so that he can get a shot. Is able to drive to the basket with ease and can absorb contact. Will use his body when going to the boards.

 

Malachi MacMillan 6-2, Point Guard, Archbishop Molloy High School, Class of 2023 - A guard that has plenty of IQ and is able to drive to the basket easily. Is fearless when going towards the basket and looks to make plays when on the court. Knows when to use his quickness or when to slow down the tempo.

 

Emmanuel Ikioda 6-4, Forward, Archbishop Molloy High School, Class of 2023 - A forward that is a major asset on the floor for his squad every time, as he is a force in the post area. Uses his toughness and physicality to best the opposition. Is able to go up for baskets and can absorb contact.

 

Halon Rawlings 6-5, Shooting Guard, Nazareth High School, Class of 2025 - A guard with plenty of strength and plenty of instinct on the floor. Is able to go coast to coast when on the offensive end and looks to score. When on the boards, he is always alert for a rebound and can also block shots when it comes to the opposition.

 

Andre Prescott 5-10, Point Guard, Nazareth High School, Class of 2023 - A guard with plenty of quickness and poise for his position. Is a force with his speed and ability to make plays in transition. Despite his diminutive frame, he is fearless when going to the basket for two and will take on any challenges that come his way.

 

Juelz Dickerson 6-4, Shooting Guard, Nazareth High School, Class of 2023 - A guard that is very quick in transition and has a penchant for slicing and dicing into the lane. Has the ability to find his teammates when on the break and will put them in position to score. Is able to be active with his hands when it comes to getting steals and is prone to getting rebounds and, occasionally, blocked shots.

 

Jacob Roman 6-1, Shooting Guard, Nazareth High School, Class of 2024 - A guard that has the ability to hustle on both ends of the court and will find ways to get open. Has a nice shot from three-point range and is always ready to hustle for a loose ball and get a steal. Anything he can do to make an impact in a game, he will do.
