Archbishop Molloy High School is a co-educational, college preparatory, Catholic school for grades 9-12, located on 6 acres on 83-53 Manton Street, Briarwood, Queens. The boys varsity basketball team competes in the Brooklyn Queens AA Division of the CHSSA. Since 2013, the team has been coached by Michael McCleary. Below are the profiles on his key players this season.

 

Jayden James (2023) 6’5 shooting guard - James is the leader of the pack, a slashing scorer and a defensive menace. Looking to have a big year for the Stanners.

 

Kuba Cwalina (2023) 6’5 shooting guard (Middlebury College commit)- Cwalina is a prolific scorer from the three-point line. His IQ for the game is very high. His leadership will be key this year.

 

Emmanul Ikioda (2023) 6’5 wing - Ikioda starts as the three guard, and he is the backbone of the team . His brute strength helps him generate paint-touch offense. Ikioda’s presence and his ability to play both ends of the court is a big factor in Molloy’s ability to win games.

 

Sincere Folk (2026) 5’9 point guard - This freshman puts pressure on both ends of the court with his high level of play. He has scoring ability and his maturity,at a young age, to run a team is going to be a strength for the Stanners this year


Eli Small (2024) 6’7 small forward. Small is a shot blocker and a strong rebounder. He can finish around rim, and he can also can put the ball on the floor. His mid range shot is a nightmare for teams to defend.


Josh Powell (2026) 6’5 guard. Despite being only a freshman, Powell brings high-major size to the guard spot. He is able to score both inside the and from beyond the three point line, making him a threat anywhere on the court. The coaches appreciate his strong mindset to come to work every day to make himself and the team better.


Malachi MacMillan (2023) 6’1 guard - MacMillan proves that “Hard work beats raw talent every day”. With his tenacity on defense, his ability to finish in transition, and his developing 3 point shot, this senior serves as the “Swiss Army knife” in helping the Stanners’ in any and every way.
