The A. Philip Randolph Campus High School is a four-year public high school located in Harlem, adjacent to the City College of New York. It’s boys varsity basketball team competes in the Manhattan A III conference and is looking to make a return to the PSAL “A” Playoff this season. Last season the varsity team advanced to the PSAL A Sweet 16 and their JV program advanced to the Elite 8.

Peter Gonzalez is the head coach. He is trying to break his 10 year streak of not being able to make the PSAL playoffs with back-to-back teams. His group has already displayed an unselfishness style of play averaging 23 team assists and have displayed a willingness to make plays on the open floor, so the hope is that this is the year that they repeat as a playoff team.

They are led by Robert Little, who is averaging 10+ points, 5+ assists, 5+ rebounds, +5 steals, +5 Charges/Blocks/Deflections (FIVE FIVE CLUb). Sophomore guards Pharell Aybar and Hamiet Bello are both averaging 10+ points and 5+ assists. Timothy Lang is a senior starter who is a returning All State selection, and he will provide a scoring threat on the open floor. If Lang can average 5+ assist or hockey assists, Coach Gonzalez believes that it will the team group past the Sweet 16 in February. Moudji Barry is a junior guard that will come off the bench for the Cougars and provide another floor general. Moudji has the best floor vision when he plays. On the open floor he can finish with either hand and can get everyone involved in the half court set. Moudji Barry has the capabilities to average a triple double (points, assists, rebounds).
