Level Up LI is in its 6th year and is one of the fastest growing youth travel AAU basketball programs in the tri-state NY area. Their mission is to create the top travel basketball teams focusing heavily on individual and team development for their players both on and off the basketball court. The primary focus is to help their players reach their full potential. ALL of their coaches and trainers excelled at the college level as players or coaches.

The 2023 Level Up LI 17u college prospects are below:

Vasilis Triantafyllou 6’4 wing North Shore High - A wirey 6’4 who can play multiple positions. Very high character. Can guard 1 through 5. Can extend and shoot the 3. Very good in transition and can possess a rebound and start the fast break on his own. Swiss Army knife defensively. Contests without fouling.

Jack Connolly (2024) 5’9 point guard, Chaminade High -  Connolly has a scholarship level skill set. One of the best PGS at controlling the pace and flow of a game. Excellent finisher at the rim. Can also shoot the ball at all three levels. Would have been candidate for MVP of the ZGXL circuit that we won last Spring/Summer if he did not get hurt. Extremely high IQ and has amazing court vision. He would be somebody you build a program around. Not many weaknesses other than size but he plays much bigger than he looks.

Ben Zito (2024) 6’3 swing, Oceanside High - A high IQ kid who can shoot the three. Athletic as he has had multiple in-game dunks. He is somebody you can mold his first year as a freshman and make him a centerpiece by the time he is a senior. All of the tools are there. Definitely a college player who is versatile and belongs at the next level.

Jake Cohen (2024) 5’10 guard, St. Anthony’s High -  Cohen can play on or off the ball. One of the hardest working kids. He is the type of kid you want in your program. Excellent academics. Towards the top of his class. A coach’s dream in terms of coach to player relationship. Very high IQ on the court. Can shoot the ball and create for others. Tough to find a higher character player.

Charles DeStefano (2024) 6’3 wing, Wantagh High - A versatile wing that can score inside and out. With his improvements on Defense he can guard multiple positions. He’s mobile with good length which helps him stay in front of smaller guards. With a nice outside touch. Destefano can help stretch the floor and keep defenses honest. He is a team-first player that will do whatever is asked of him by his coach.

Gianpiero “GP” Arnone (2024) 6’5 small forward, St John the Baptist High - Arnone is a stretch 4/5 that can hit the outside shot and bang down low. He’s has a great midrange game that can utilized in pick and pop situations. He’s a smart player that understands his role and where he needs to be. GP plays with finesse and can unclog the middle with his shooting ability.
