2018 Lincoln Park Summer League Playoffs

On August 15, Recruit the Bronx returned to the South Ozone Park section of Queens for the Lincoln Park Classic. Although only in only its third year, Lincoln Park is already established itself as one of the most prominent high school summewr leagues. It’s the playoffs at Lincoln Park, so players either go hard or go home. Here are the standouts in the playoff games.


Tymell Stevenson, 6-7, Forward, St. Mary’s High School (NY), Lyte Ballas, Class of 2021 - Athletic forward that runs the floor well. Has a long wingspan. Has to become a good finisher.


Sterling Jones, 5-10, Point Guard, Christ the King High School (NY), Lyte Ballas, Class of 2021 - A smart point guard that has great lateral movement on defense. Great at facilitating. Needs to put the reps in to develop a jumper in order to draw interest at the next level.


T.J. Morris, 6-3, Shooting Guard, Abraham Lincoln High School (NY), Lyte Ballas, Class of 2021 - A tall guard with impressive wingspan. Needs to finish stronger at the basket. Makes good moves to the basket.


Adama Sanogo, 6-9, Our Saviour New American School (NY), D1 Stars, Class of 2021 - A player who can block shots. Very athletic when going to the rim. A game changer for whatever team he is on. Could definitely use some work on hook shot and other back-to-the-basketball skills.


Quaran McPherson, 6-3, Shooting Guard, Christ the King High School (NY), D1 Stars, Class of 2020 - Turnover-prone. Good shooting touch from long-range. Has to be a better defensive player.


Zach Martini, 6-7, Forward, Gill St. Bernard’s School (NJ), Lyte Ballas, Class of 2020 - A player that knows how to get to the foul line. Good size. Has to show more of an offensive game.


Collins Onyeike, 6-5, Forward, Cardozo High School (NY), D1 Stars, Class of 2018 - Great at getting put backs. Can shoot from long range. Efficient rebounder.


Jonathan Kuminga, 6-7, Huntington Prep School (WV), D1 Stars, Class of 2021. Athletic player that can also shoot. Not afraid to absorb contact. Has a streaky long-range shot.


Nate Tabor, 6-5, Shooting Guard, Sacred Heart High School (CT), D1 Stars, Class of 2020 - Needs to have a more consistent jumper. Good at getting to the basket. Has efficient point guard skills. Plays good defense.


Sahdique Watkins, 6-0, Point Guard, Holy Cross High School (NY), D1 Stars, Class of 2018 - Good at getting to the basket. Makes smooth drives to the hole. Needs to cut down on turnovers.


Jose Perez, 6-5, Forward, Putnam Science Academy (CT), Gold Minds, Class of 2018 - Fearless when going to the basket. Has a good outside shot. Knows how to get to the hole.


Nariq Chisholm, 6-7, Martin Luther School (NY), Gold Minds, Class of 2019 - A great anchor in the paint area. Efficient at grabbing rebounds. Needs to develop a jumper. Shot-blocker.


Adonis Fishburne, 5-6, Point Guard, Our Saviour Lutheran High School (NY), Gold Minds, Class of 2018 - A player with a diminutive size. Quick and deceptive. Needs to finish better when going to the basket.


William Lee, 5-10, Point Guard, Bishop Loughlin High School (NY), Gold Minds, Class of 2019 - A small guard that is lightning-quick. Knows how to get the ball to his teammates. Attacks the hole. Needs to shoot more jumpers.


Will Kondrat, 6-7, Forward, Our Saviour Lutheran High School (NY), Spiritual Evolution, Class of 2019. - Versatile forward that runs well across the floor. Has a lot of athleticism. Grabs rebounds & is a good scorer.


Gary Grant, 6-4, Forward, St. Raymond High School (NY), Very Impressive, Class of 2020 - Very aggressive when going to the basket. Very athletic. Has to cut down on turnovers. Can anticipate contact.


Josiah Wright, 5-11, Point Guard, High School of Construction (NY), Spiritual Evolution, Class of 2018 - Plays like a point guard. Sets teammates up for basket. Normally a scorer, but didn’t make baskets. Made up for it with setting up teammates.


Alejandro Vasquez, 6-3, Point Guard, The Patrick School (NJ), Very Impressive, Class of 2019 - Makes good passes to teammates. Doesn’t finish well when going to the basket. Has to cut down on turnovers.


Michael Richardson, 6-2, Cardinal Hayes High School (NY), Spiritual Evolution, Class of 2018 - A wide body with good size. Very mobile. Has good post moves around the basket. Has plenty of speed.


James McNeill, 6-0, Shooting Guard, Robinson School (NJ), Spiritual Evolution, Class of 2018 - Dangerous shooter from the corner. Looks to score every time. Needs to improve defense.
