On Tuesday night, Recruit the Bronx went to Frederick Douglass Academy III in the South Bronx to check out the action in games: St. Raymond (CHSAA) vs. DeWitt Clinton (PSAL) and Archbishop Stepinac (CHSAA) and LaSalle (CHSAA). Here are the standouts from both games:

Tahron Allen, 6-4, Shooting Guard, St. Raymond High School, Class of 2021 A player with a long wingspan that can play the two or three positions on the floor. Has good movement with or without the ball, has an improving jumpshot and is an aggressive defender.

Jeremy Lacayo, 6-6, Forward, St. Raymond High School, Class of 2020 A forward that has good hands when on defense and always looks to block shots. Struggles with strength and finishing baskets, but puts out plenty of effort.

Luis Kortright, 6-3, Shooting Guard, St. Raymond High School, Class of 2020 A guard that can shoot the lights out and can move well on defense. Has an explosive first step that can get him to the basket for layups and knows how to exploit defenders. Good at moving on pick and rolls.

Davion Bonar, 5-10, Shooting Guard, DeWitt Clinton High School, Class of 2020 A player that has control of the team and is good at shifting gears when he has the ball in his hands. Is a pass-first point guard, as well as a tough and scrappy point guard.
