2019 Fordham Team Camp

On Tuesday evening, June 4,  RecruitTheBronx.com paid a visit to the Lombardi Athletic Center on the campus of Fordham University in The Bronx for their annual team camp. Schools from New York City, Rockland County and Westchester County all came out to compete as a way to build cohesion and also to prepare themselves for their upcoming high school season. Here all the standouts from Tuesday’s action:


Dyrell Gonzalez, 5-9, Guard, Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School, Class of 2020 - Gonzalez is a shooting guard that has plenty of quickness and can move on the perimeter with or without the ball. Looks to get open for shots at all times. Has the ability to facilitate to others and makes sure he sees the open man.


Jalen Sabilo, 5-10, Shooting Guard, Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School, Class of 2021 - Sabilo is shifty and likes to create for himself on offense. Loves to penetrate and drive to the basket. Struggles with shooting from long range. But is very assertive with his penchant for scoring.


Kaleb Stobbs, 5-7, Point Guard, Fannie Lou Hamer High School, Class of 2020 - Stobbs is quick and has good court vision on the floor. Is a good facilitator that likes to pass the ball and knows when to slow the tempo. Is also a good defensive player that likes to stick with the opposition.


Mohamed Fofana, 6-5, Forward, Fannie Lou Hamer High School, Class of 2020 - Fofana has length and is able to find his way to the basket easily. Uses his frame to muscle his way to the basket and also grab rebounds. Has the ability to be efficient from three-point range.


Anthony Rose, 6-3, Forward, Fannie Lou Hamer High School, Class of 2020 - Rose is very versatile in many ways. Has plenty of toughness and physicality that allows him to corral rebounds and attack the basket. Uses his physicality to draw fouls as a way to get free throws.

 

Amadou Diallo, 5-10, Shooting Guard, Fannie Lou Hamer High School, Class of 2022 - Diallo loves to score in bunches and likes to shoot from long-range. Is also a defensive threat that gives his team plenty of effort on the floor.


Hammad Singleton, 5-8, Point Guard, Sacred Heart High School, Class of 2020 -  Singleton has the ability to shoot from long range and has good court vision. Despite his diminutive frame, he is able to get to the basket. Struggles with finishing consistently at the basket, but makes up for it by getting his teammates involved.


Josendy Nova, 5-10, Shooting Guard, Sacred Heart High School, Class of 2021 - Nova has plenty of speed and is very quick on the defensive end. Has quick hands that allow him to get rebounds and steals. Has the ability to get steals. Has the ability to get to the basket with precision.


RJ Greene, 6-4, Forward, Iona Preparatory School, Class of 2022 - Greene is strong when he goes to the hole. He shows a lot of athleticism when going to the basket and is also solid when going to for rebounds. Struggles with shooting, but makes up with that for energy. Has plenty of hustle and is able to get steals.


Orlando Wallace, 6-8, Forward, Iona Preparatory School, Class of 2022 - Wallace runs well across the floor and has a long wingspan. Has the ability to get rebounds and is an imposing presence in the low post. Muscles his way into the paint for baskets and is fearless when it comes to absorbing physical contact when going up for a basket.


CJ Brown, 5-9, Point Guard, North Rockland, Class of 2020 - Brown plays bigger than his height. Despite his light frame, he is able to make an impact on the game by controlling the tempo for his team. Makes strong drives to the basket and is fearless when it comes to going up for a basket. Also, a good facilitator when it comes to passing the ball to his teammates.


Clevmer Lubin, 6-3, Shooting Guard, Suffern High School, Class of 2021 -Lubin has a strong build and can also post up in the paint. Good at guarding the opposition on the perimeter and is good at making his presence felt on the boards.


Joel Emmanuel, 6-5, Forward, Suffern High School, Class of 2021 - As a high school player, Emmanuel has a long wingspan and uses his length to hold his own in the post area. Has plenty of athleticism and uses it to score at the basket and obtain rebounds. Although he is lithe in frame, he still can hold his own when it comes to the paint area.


RJ Little, 6-6, Forward, Suffern High School, Class of 2021 - Little has many versatile skills and can play either the fourth or five position. Has the ability to block shots, run the floor and obtain rebounds. Also has the ability to score in transition.


Dennis Alter, 5-11, Point Guard, Scarsdale, Class of 2020 - Alter can easily get past defenders and has a quick first step with the ball. Makes great decisions with the ball and has good passing instincts. Has excellent court vision and makes teammates better when he’s on the court.


Riley Ramundo, 6-5, Forward, Bronxville High School, Class of 2021 - Ramundo is a forward that who to play on the perimeter, but doesn’t hesitate to make his presence felt in the low post. Good at running up and down the floor and also is able to go hard for rebounds in the paint. Has the ability to step out and shoot from long range.


Jack Hershberg, 6-2, Forward, Bronxville High School, Class of 2022 - Hershberg is active on both ends of the floor. Likes to run up and down the court and also has the ability to block or alter shots with his long arm reach. Finds ways to score and is able to put the ball on the floor.


Jayden Lolr, 5-7, Point Guard, Clarkstown South High School, Class of 2021 - Lolr is able to read the opposition’s defense and exploit it with his quickness. Is a good facilitator and is very aware of when his teammates are moving. Likes to get to the basket.

 

Robert Geronimo, 6-1, Shooting Guard, Clarkstown South High School, Class of 2021 - Geronimo loves to move around the floor and gives his team effort. Has a long wingspan and is able to pass the ball to his teammates as a way to get assists.


Aidan Mansfield, 6-4, Forward, Scarsdale, Class of 2020 - Mansfield has an effective inside presence and is great at sticking with his man on defense. Finds ways to score inside and makes plenty of hustle plays. Has a long wingspan, which helps him when he is going up for rebounds.
