2019 Collision - Top Performers

The Collision basketball tournament returned for its second year in a row, loaded with top teams and talent from NYC and surrounding areas. The event took place Friday, June 14th through Sunday, June 16th at Long Island Lutheran High School and Uniondale High School. Several players caught our eye.


Amadou Diallo (2021) 5’10 point guard, John Bowne HS, AAU: Diallo Elite - Amadou was one of the most consistent PG in The Collision 16U bracket. He plays with pure poise and fearless, and he showed a high basketball IQ as well as the ability to quickly get to the basket, distribute the ball efficiently and a clutch 3pt shooter.


Cherif Diarra (2021) 6’5 swing, John Bowne HS, AAU: Diallo Elite - Cherif was one of the most dominant presence in The Collision 16U group, as he showed he can run the floor and handle the ball with ease. He was a force inside and finished around the rim with strength.  One of the most versatile players at his position this weekend.


Dior Davis (2021) 5’11 guard, Murry Bergtraum HS, AAU: Milbank Flyers - Dior Davis is a fearless competitor who can do many things on the court. He led his HS in scoring and was the 3rd leading scorer in the PSAL this past season. Dior shoots the ball well and can get to any spot on the court to complete the play. Led his team to the Finals in the Collision.


Mike Quick Jr. (2021) 6’5 swing, Monsignor Scanlan HS, AAU: Milbank Flyers - Mike is a high flying act waiting to happen. He runs the floor well and finishes everything around the basket. Nice touch from 12-15 ft out. Defensively he can guard every position 1-4.


Noah Best (2022) 6’4 Mount Saint Michael HS, AAU: D1NYC - Lanky combo Guard, who scores in transition and in the half court off the catch. Decent ball handling to break down defenses. High motor on defense and the glass.


Mohamed Soumahoro (2022) 6’6 swing, KIPP HS, AAU: D1 NYC - Defensive Stalwart. On the interior or perimeter. Deflections, blocks, steals, charge-taking are staples to his game. Scores off hustle and second chance points and good mid-range shooting.


Blair Thompson (2022) 6’5 guard, Xavier HS, AAU: NY Jayhawks Gold - Thompson is a crafty guard who’s potential of being a high major guard is unquestionable. With the ability to shoot from 3, midrange and finish around the basket at 6’5, he is a tough cover. Also being able to guard positions 2-5 he proved to be a good two-way player. Adam Silas (2022) 6’0 guard, St. Benedicts Prep, AAU: NY Jayhawks Gold - Silas is one of the Tri-state area’s most gifted PGs in his class as well as the tri-state area. His ability to get through any defense and find his teammates or finish at the rim was unmatched during the weekend. Silas is one of the most shifty guards you will find in his class. Definite D1 potential. Collision Champions 15u

 

Darius Coleman (2022) 6’2 guard, St Mary’s High School, AAU: NY Jayhawks Gold - Coleman plays with a Russel Westbrook-like aggression on both ends of the floor. The unwillingness to give in or give up on any play is what makes him such a valuable piece to his team. Standing at 6’2, Coleman will willingly guard the opposing team’s best player, take charges and defensively help lead his team to victory by any means necessary. Collision Champions 15u

 

Uriah Logan (2021) 5’11 guard, St. Peter’s Boys HS, AAU: New York City Chargers - Logan is a rising star, and can score in a variety of ways. He is a great leader and has an immense amount of potential. Uriah is a mid-major D1 or High D2 prospect.  He also led his team in scoring playing up on the Adidas Silver Gauntlet 17U division.


Jordan Council (2020) 6’0 guard, Summit Academy HS, AAU: New York City Chargers - Council is a rising star. He has ability to play as a point guard as well as a shooting guard. Jordan has great control of the ball, also looks out for his teammates. Council has the potential to play at mid major D1 as well as a D2 program. He lead his team in scoring at Summit Academy at 30 ppg.


Anthony AJ Ingelton (2020) 5’11 point guard, Curtis HS, AAU: New York City Chargers - AJ is a rising star and a clutch player. He is great at controlling the ball and setting up teammates. AJ has potential to play at a MidMajor D1 school or a high D2 program.


Ethan Craig (2020) 6’0 swing, St.Anthony’s, LI, AAU: NY Jayhawks 15u Silver. Ethan is a strong Lefty with a mix of Power and Finesse. Can score going to the basket or on Mid Range pullups. Good rebounder for his size and decent passer in traffic. Decent defender with room to grow.


John Tinch (2020) 6’2 guard, Academy Charter, Hempstead, LI. AAU: NY Jayhawks 16u Silver. Tinch is a Scoring guard with ability to create his own shot anywhere on the floor. Has NBA range and a sneaky good offensive rebounder.  Good defender with room to improve with his length and quickness.
