2019 Respect All Invitational - Top Performers

On Friday night, RecruitTheBronx.com paid a visit to the Baychester section of The Bronx to check out the action at the Respect All, Fear None Invitational, which is a showcase event for high schools throughout the greater New York City area. Here are the standouts from the two games in the event:


Steven Turner, 6-0, Point Guard, South Bronx Preparatory School, Class of 2021 - Turner loves to make smooth moves to the basket and is able to penetrate to the hole. If he is not contained, he is able to get to the basket and score. Is able to pass the ball and is a physical guard that uses his frame to muscle into the basket and is not afraid to use his strength and absorb physical contact to draw a foul.


Eric Davis, 6-2, Swing, South Bronx Preparatory School, Class of 2021 - Davis can play in the low-post and obtain rebounds, but can also attack in transition. Is a solid defender and has the ability to force the opoosition into giving up the ball as a way for him to get a steal and run on the break or hit a teammate for an assist.


Devon Lewis, 6-1, Shooting Guard, South Bronx Preparatory School, Class of 2021 - A guard who is strong and can absorb physical contact when driving to the lane. Has a nice wingspan and looks to get rebounds and is a good defender that can stay in front of his man at all times.


Kareeim Thomas, 5-6, Point Guard, DeWitt Clinton High School, Class of 2023 - Thomas has plenty of heart and has a lot of energy on the floor. Sometimes struggles with turning over the ball, but has the ability to facilitate to his teammates and can push the ball up the court. Has good defensive tendencies and has the ability to get steals on the court.

 

Nasir Gray, 5-6, Point Guard, DeWitt Clinton High School, Class of 2021 - Gray is good at facilitating to his teammates and is good at making tough drives to the basket. Has good court vision and can see where teammates are moving at all times. Also is able to guard his man heavily and is able to move his feet and stay with his man at all times.

 

Moises Asencio, 6-1, Swing, DeWitt Clinton High School, Class of 2020 - Asencio is a workhorse for his squad. He is one of the tallest players on a guard-heavy team, he showcases toughness and is able to score and rebound. Works well in the low post and can outplay the opposition by boxing out and getting around for loose balls.

 

Koby Brea, 6-5, Shooting Guard, Monsignor Scanlan High School, Class of 2020 - A guard that has good size and known is three-point threat from the corner and is also someone that can handle the ball and show his finesse against other players that have a smaller frame. Despite his large frame, he shows great passing abilities and can also go and get rebounds.

 

Joe Munden, 6-5, Shooting Guard, Monsignor Scanlan High School, Class of 2020 - Munden has a long wingspan and can put the ball on the floor. Is able to attack the basket and is great at rebounding and can find multiple ways to score on the break. Loves to absorb physical contact when driving through the lane or being in the post.

 

Kesean Tracey, 5-9, Point Guard, Monsignor Scanlan High School, Class of 2021- Tracey is very deceptive and showcases plenty of passing abilities. Has a great IQ & knows where and when not to take shots. Is counted on to deliver the ball to teammates when needed. Is also a sold defender on the other end.

 

Hamdel Mohamed , 6-7, Forward, Monsignor Scanlan High School, Class of 2020 - Mohamed Is a great specimen and is a force for his team on the low post. Is very athletic has the ability to grab rebounds and block shots in the paint. Is a player that loves to play above the rim and can also put the ball on the floor and can drive when he gets the opportunity. Can even shoot a hook shot.

 

Ray Glasgow, 6-0, Point Guard, Monsignor Scanlan High School, Class of 2021 - Glasgow can create for himself on the perimeter and has a good outside shot. Is good at passing the ball and setting up teammates for shots. Has good defensive tendencies and is very fast when on the break.

 

Louis Riley, 5-10, Shooting Guard, Monsignor Scanlan High School, Class of 2021 - Riley can give some great effort on the defensive end and has the ability to score on the offensive end. Is able to stay on whoever he’s guarding and can shoot jumpers from long range. Is able to get past his defender quickly.

 

Marcus Reed, 6-1, Swing, Our Saviour Lutheran High School, Class of 2020 - Reed is good at sealing his defender and is able to lock in on the boards as far as getting rebounds. Is also a player that can score and run on the fast break and can drive to the basket.

 

Mike Quick, Jr., 6-3, Shooting Guard, Our Saviour Lutheran High School, Class of 2021 - Quick is very fast and athletic and loves to get to the basket. Is good for getting to the basket and has a long wingspan, which allows him to get rebounds. When going to the basket, he is able to finish by either completing a layup or getting to the rim.

 

Chad Ewart, 5-11, Point Guard, Our Saviour Lutheran High School, Class of 2020 - Ewart is a guard who can facilitate to his teammates and can also attack when going to the hole. Has excellent court vision and knows when and where to attack. Loves to drive to the basket in transition.

 

Amadou Diallo 5-11, Point Guard, Our Saviour Lutheran High School, Class of 2020 - A guard who is quick and deceptive on offense and also possesses good qualities of a point guard. Is a good passer that knows when and where his teammates are moving. Is also a player that likes to run in transition.

 

Omauru Hydara, 6-1, Shooting Guard, Our Saviour Lutheran High School, Class of 2020 - Hydra can play on the perimeter and can do plenty of things on the court. Is very athletic and can find ways to get to the basket and also a way to shoot jumpers from the corner. Is a player that is able to create for himself on the perimeter.


Jaiden Rodriguez, 6-2, Shooting Guard, Our Saviour Lutheran High School, Class of 2022 - Rodriguez loves to run on the break and is a player that has the ability to pass the ball to teammates that are moving on the break. Has great court vision and provides plenty of hustle and gives his team some maximum effort whenever he’s on the court.

 

Daniel Rivera, 6-4, Forward, Our Saviour Lutheran High School, Class of 2021- Rivera is a physical on both ends of the court, as he is a great rebounder and has the ability to play above the rim. Has the ability to step out from the low post and shoot from the top of the key.
