Bridgeport Prep 2019-20 Season Preview

When Captial Prep Harbour School coach Greg Thomas made the decision to pull up stakes and move across town to Bridgeport Prep, he took his college ball-aspiring players with him.


He also got his program double-entered in the Great Atlantic Conference, playing both a Division 1 slate, against some of the strongest programs in the region, and in Division 2.  Accordingly, Bridgeport Prep will be taking on a full and challenging schedule. Facing rotations full of college-bound players in most of its games.

 

Coach Thomas says the goal is train and develop NCAA qualifiers who will get to play on the national stage via prep showcases and sponsored AAU events. “We believe that kids who play on teams at the college level are more likley to graduate from college.”

 


Below are Coach Thomas thoughts on the guys that he has for the 2019-20 campaign:

 

Khalid Moreland (2020) 5’10 guard - Tough gritty leader, that goes hard on both ends…will be scholorship player at the next level.

 

Tyler Dubose (2021) 6’8 forward - Stretch 4 that is active on both ends of the court, and is currently receiving serious interest from three D1 schools.

 

John Hypolite (2021) 6’6 forward - Super athletic 4, Strong finisher and big time rebounder.

 

Kris Laing (2021) 6’3 guard - Shooter, slasher and plays above the rim. Played AAU with NY Lightning 16U.

 

Jessie Roberson (2021) 6’4 swing - Explosive wing exceptional athletism, under the radar.

 

Jakari Tertulien (2022) 6’3 guard - Young and talented with the most potential on the roster.

 

Ponce James III (2023) 5’7 point guard - High IQ point guard and floor general…Was a top 50 8th grader in the county last year.

 

Jalen Minor (2023) 6’3 guard - Big freshman guard who can already shoot, post and make plays.
