2020 PSAL AA Quarterfinals - Top Performers

On Sunday afternoon, Recruit the Bronx paid a visit to St. John’s University in Queens for the PSAL AA Division Quarterfinals, where there were four games taking place: Brooklyn Collegiate vs. Canarsie, South Shore vs. Eagle Academy, Thomas Jefferson vs. John Bowne and WHEELS vs. Boys & Girls. Here are the standouts for the games:

 

Majesty Johnson, 5-8, Point Guard, Brooklyn Collegiate High School, Class of 2020 - Johnson knows when and where to make the right plays at all times. Has the ability to get to the free throw line easily and has a penchant for making clutch plays when needed.


Tahron Allen, 6-4, Forward, Brooklyn Collegiate High School, Class of 2021 - Allen has plenty of rebounding instincts, and also has strength as well in the low post, and when he is driving to basket. Shows a lot of versatility in his game. Has a good shot from the
outside.

 

Alpha Bah, 6-2, Shooting Guard, Canarsie High School, Class of 2021 - Bah has excellent court vision and knows when & where to attack the opposition. Is good for running on the fast break and create his own shot. Is a solid defender that can stay with his man.


Ricardo Alleyne, 6-2, Point Guard, Canarsie High School, Class of 2020 - Alleyne can hit clutch shots, and is also good for making the right passes to teammates. Makes it his mission to not turn the ball over and is extremely careful with the ball. Has plenty of
good defensive instincts.


Ziare Wells, 6-6, Shooting Guard, South Shore High School, Class of 2021 - Wells has great physical abilities when going to the rim for a basket, and also can shoot from long range. Has a penchant for grabbing rebounds and running on the fast break and can
make the occasional pass to a striking teammate that is going down the lane.

 

Marcus Burnett, 6-3, Point Guard, South Shore High School, Class of 2020 - Burnett uses his length to see over smaller defenders and get past them at all times. Has the ability to take big shots and is fearless when driving into the paint area. Is also a tough defender
that does not back down when the opposition presents a challenge.

 

Dontae Prescott, 5-10, Point Guard, South Shore High School, Class of 2021 - Prescott is diminutive in stature, but big as far as his heart and determination when on the floor. Has plenty of quickness and looks to get the best shot, and can pass the ball to his ​teammates when the opportunity presents. Is not afraid to absorb physical contact at his size.

 

DaMarco Watson, 6-3, Shooting Guard, Eagle Academy, Class of 2020 - Watson is great at taking on defenders and also is good at attacking the opposition with his offensive prowess. Has good instincts when it comes to driving into the lane.

 

Kevin Wilson, 6-3, Shooting Guard, Eagle Academy, Class of 2021 -  is a playmaker that can pass the ball and make sure that his teammates get the ball in the right spots. Is a good defender that has the ability to stay with his counterpart. Is a hot shooter from long range. When he is left open from three-point range, he can bury a team.

 

Amadou Diallo, 5-10, Point Guard, John Bowne High School, Class of 2021 -Diallo is lightning-quick and has scoring ability. Despite his diminutive frame, he is able to get to the basket and is able to break down his counterpart off the dribble. Is great at giving his
teammates the ball and is good at getting steals on the defensive end.

 

Aguibou Balde, 6-5, Forward, John Bowne High School, Class of 2021 -Balde is a solid post player that has good footwork, which allows him to move swiftly in the low post. Is able to showcase his handle while dribbling the ball. Has good hands and is solid
at rebounding, while he also finds ways to get blocks.

 

Cherif Diarra, 6-6, Forward, John Bowne High School, Class of 2020 - Diarra can step out of the low post and shoot from more than 15 feet. Is great at showcasing his handle by putting the ball on the floor. Is solid at making smooth moves to the basket. Has good hands which allows him to get rebounds and is also a good shot-blocker.

 

Ramsey King, 5-10, Shooting Guard, Thomas Jefferson High School, Class of 2021 - King has some flash in his game and involves his teammates on the offensive end and can make good plays when he has the ball in his hands. Has the ability to make clutch three-pointers,
especially when he’s been left open or is not heavily guarded.

 

Jaquan Carlos, 6-0, Point Guard, Thomas Jefferson High School, Class of 2021 - Carlos can control a team and its tempo on the fast break. He has a scorer’s mentality. Has the ability to pass the ball to his teammate at the right time. He can also can get to the basket with precision and is fearless when it comes to driving with the lane.

 

Reality Holmes, 6-0, Shooting Guard, Thomas Jefferson High School, Class of 2020 - Holmes has good decision-making skills and can make shots from the outside. Is good for ​running through the fast break. Is great at seeing where his teammates are moving so that they
can get a good pass at the right time. Is good at getting steals when it comes to the defensive end.

 

Justin Soto, 5-10, Point Guard, WHEELS, Class of 2020 - Soto has a penchant for turning up the defensive pressure on the opposition by staying in front of his defender and looking to get steals. Is great at getting to the basket by driving through the lane and shooting the ball from long range. Is also a great passer when it comes to seeing his teammates.

 

Randy Crosby, 6-0, Shooting Guard, WHEELS, Class of 2020 - Crosby has a penchant for scoring from anywhere on the court. Is great at shooting the ball from long range. Is fearless when it comes to driving to the basket. Has good hands that will allow him to get the ball off of a steal. Is also a good rebounder.

 

Jeremiah Davis, 5-9, Shooting Guard, WHEELS, Class of 2020 - Davis has great passing abilities and can attack the defense by knocking down long-range shots from the corner. Is able to show off his IQ by knowing when & where to make a move when he plans to wither pass the ball or take the open shot.

 

Khalil Brantley, 6-0, Point Guard, Boys & Girls High School, Class of 2021 - Brantley has a penchant for attacking the basket and has a good shot from long range. Is fearless when going to the basket & can run on the fast break when the opportunity is presented. At certain times, he can also pass the ball to his teammates.

 

Jahi Mukoro, 6-0, Point Guard, Boys & Girls High School, Class of 2020 - Mukoro has plenty of quickness and can get up and down the lane in the fast break. Is great for giving the ball to his teammates & is also a consistent scorer that can shoot from the long range.
Is fearless when attacking the lane when driving.
