During the month of June, RecruitTheBronx.com went out to its network of high school, prep school and AAU coaches and asked them to submit notes on any under-recruited college prospects that they had in their programs. Below we present their responses.

 

2021s


Colin Arroyo (2021) 6’2 wing, St Edmunds Prep - Arroyo can shoot the ball and rebound. The Eagles look forward to him having a solid senior year


Anthony Bento (2021) 6’3 wing, St Edmunds Prep – Bento is long and lean. He can shoot the ball. Should be a starter as a senior

 

Brian Belade (2021) 6’2 point guard, Shelton High (CT), AAU Team: DTX - Belade is an excellent point guard whose strengths are creating shots off-the-dribble and
finishing at the rim with either hand. He can shoot the three and loves creating shots for others

 

Eli Blackwell (2021) 5’8 guard, West Haven High (CT), AAU Team: New Haven Heat - Blackwell was named as an All State player as both a sophomore and a junior. He can do it all, score and playmake at an elite level. He is crafty, fast and smart. 4.0 gpa

 

Nate Brinkman (2021) 6’2 point guard, Christian Heritage High (CT), AAU Team: DTX - Brinkman is a solid point with long range distance with shooting and terrific court vision. He creates open shots for his teammates and pushes the ball down the court with his passing to initiate offense

 

Cole Bryant (2021) 6’4 guard, St Lukes School (CT) Bryant is a big guard with a great feel for the game. He is a strong shooter from three-point line and can score from all three levels.  Good perimeter defender who uses his size and length to shoot the passing lanes effectively.  He rebounds the ball well from the guard spot

 

Justice Carter (2021) 5’11 point guard, New Britain High (CT), AAU Team: New Haven Heat- Carter was named All CCC as a junior. Sharpshooting and playmaking point guard. He averaged 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in his junior year


Ben Carroll (2021) 6’6 swing, Norte Dame-West Haven CT- Carroll was an All Area/ All SCC forward as a junior. He rebounds at a high clip on both ends of the court. He spreads the floor with his shooting and has back-to-the basket moves

 

Seth Caslin (2021) 6’4 guard, Millbrook School, AAU Team: New Haven Heat - Caslin averaged 11 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists against the New England Preps before having his season cut short because of injury. Since being in quarantine, he been working out and gained 20 pounds of muscle. He already showed that he can shoot the lights out and his athleticism, adding the weight will be the finishing touch. He has High Academic D1s reaching out


Jay Cimmino (2021), 5’10 guard, Shelton High (CT), AAU Team: DTX - Cimmino is a combo guard with the ability to make plays for his teammates.  He’s uses his long range ability to create and exploit driving lanes to the basket

 

Malik Cole (2021) 6’3 guard, St Edmunds Prep – Cole is an explosive and versatile combo guard with good defensive skills. Averaged 10 ppg as a junior and led the team with 7.5 rpg, 4.5 apg, and had 8 dunks. His numbers should take a jump this year. In the classroom a 93 student and plans to major in engineering


Dontate Creedland (2021) 5’11 guard, Wingate Educational Campus. AAU Team: Brooklyn Rams – Creedland is a lefty and a dead eye 3 point shooter off both the dribble and the catch-and-shoot. He is developing the court-vision to find open guys.  He is a strong defender

 

Cade Dalton (2021) 6’5 wing, Rye Country Day School - Dalton is a long and rangy shooter who also uses his size to cause havoc on the defensive end. RCDS coach Bredan Barile believes that Dalton is primed for a breakout senior season

 

Finn Donelan (2021) 5’11 guard, Fairfield Prep (CT), AAU Team: DTX - Donelan is a combo guard with long range distance with shooting, Terrific court vision and plays both ends of the court.  He’s a solid defender and physical against bigger players

 

Jamal Dorsett (2021) 6’2 small forward,  Medgar Evers College Preparatory School - Dorsett is a hustling lanky-built player with non-stop energy on the court. Very coachable and is willing to sacrifice his body on the court. 2.7 gpa

 

Ethan Doherty (2021) 5’8 guard, Hamden Hall Country Day (CT) - Dohery is a dead-eye 3 point shooter who can drive and make pull up jumpshots, solid defender, coach’s son basketball IQ. Good student

 

Tyler Dubose (2021) 6’8 forward, Bridgeport Prep (CT), AAU Team: New Haven Heat -  Dubose is a stretch 4, who’s footwork and agility is improving by the day.  He has improved in the low and mid-post game. This will compliment his ability to step out and shoot the 3.  Bridgeport Prep’s staff is looking for Dubose to have a breakout year in 2020-21. His AAU coach says he is definitely a scholarship player

 

Kyle Dunn (2021) 6’2 wing, St Edmunds Prep – Dunn is quick and athletic (Also the starting center fielder on the baseball team). He is a three year starter that excels by making hustle plays. Very good student


Tahmeen Dupree (2021) 6’1 guard, Lee Academy (ME), AAU Team: New Haven Heat - Dupree is New Britain High’s (CT) all-time leading scorer and is a tenacious on-ball defender. He has an array of scoring options, including attacking the rim, a mid-range jumper and a consistent 3-point shooter. He made more than 100 varsity 3s. He is doing a PG year at Lee Academy.

 

Kymani Edwards (2022) 5’9 point guard, Medgar Evers College Preparatory School - Edwards is a rising Junior who is pass first PG looking to get others involved. He has solid mid range jumpshot and intense competitor. 2.8 gpa

 

Mateo Esmeraldo (2021) 5’11 point guard. Masuk High (CT), AAU Team: DTX - Esmeraldo is a pure point guard with long range shooting ability. He has terrific court vision and creates open shots for his teammates. He and pushes the ball well in transition and is the key to facilitating his team’s offense


Akili Evans (2021) 6’4 point guard, Lee Academy (ME), AAU Team: CT Select - Evans is a wiry 6’4 point guard who reads the game very well. Unselfish passer. Long and athletic defender that’s excellent in transition but is a three level scorer. High intensity player

 

Collin Farr (2021) 6’7 power forward, New Milford High (CT), AAU Team: Big Fun Academy - Farr is a 260 lbs and is considered a dominant interior post player with soft hands. His offensive moves are countless. His defensive shot blocking abilities are evident and fear causing

 

Matthew Federico (2021) 6’0 guard, Comprehensive Model School - Federico is a very well disciplined player. He puts the same amount of energy on both ends of court defensively and offensively. He knows when to be assertive and when to adapt to the game plan in order to help his team win. He is a combo guard and has the offensive power to carry his team to a victory

 

Zach Feller (2021) 6’5 wing, Suffield Academy (CT) - Feller is an athletic wing completing a postgraduate year, originally from Round Rock, TX. He is a high level slasher, but is able to keep the defense honest with consistent shooting from the outside. He has top grades in advanced level classes and a 35 ACT. He is currently getting recruiting interest from the Patriot League and Ivy League, as well as other top academic institutions

 

Jermaine Figueroa http://recruitthebronx.com/index.php/prospects/get_prospects_details/6741igueroa is very hard working and has improved dramatically each year. Two ankle injuries slowed down his season last year causing him to go unseen. When he played he was AAE’s leading rebounder, shot blocker and he contributed double doubles regularly


Jaden Fonseca (2021) 6’4 guard Dr. Susan S. McKinney High - Fonseca is transferring into McKinney from a charter school this fall. At 6’4, he possess a longer wingspan than most guards and combines that with a high vertical jump. He shoots a high 3pt percentage and midrange pull up. His solid ball handling and athleticism allows him to grab a long rebound and start a fast break

 

Jah Dean Francis (2021) 6’0 guard, Wingate Educational Campus – Francis is a tough player. He harasses ball handlers the full 94 feet. He can shoot the 3 and is a strong finisher. Good in transition

 

Sean Fullerton (2021) 6’3 guard, Wooster High (CT), AAU Team: DTX - Fullerton is a combo guard that primarily runs the point, but he is also extremely versatile playing SG, SF and the PF positions. He exhibits good skills as a 3 point shooter, a rebounder, and he shares the ball well. As a point guard, he can handle the ball, play defense and post up smaller guards. He is passionate and dedicated to the game

 

Jonathan Gaussaint (2021) 6’1 guard, Medgar Evers College Preparatory School - Gaussaint is an athletic guard that has a great mid-range game. He can defend multiple positions and has a college-ready body. 2.9 gpa

 

Chael Gillespie (2021) 6’0 guard, Metropolitan Learning Center (CT),  AAU Team: -Brass City Basketball Club - Gillespie is a point guard who can also score. He finishes with both hands and shoots the ball well from the perimeter. Solid on-the-ball defender and a good decision-maker, competitive and coachable. His high school coach, Leron Gittens says that Gillespie’s best attribute is his ability to play both guard positions and scoring


Dereyk Grant (2021) 5’11 guard, Wilbur Cross High (CT), AAU Team: New Haven Heat - Grant was both an All-State and All SCC player as a junior. He is a south paw scoring machine and all around crafty player. Averaged 17 points throughout his junior CIAC season


Jeremiah Green (2021) 6’1 guard, Mt St Joseph Prep (VT), AAU Team: The Row - Green is one of the best shooters in Queens, lights out from the logo on in. He is a speed demon and very crafy in his ability to finish through contact with either hand. He sees the floor well and is very vocal. He is willing to work in order to be great.

 

Mike Green (2021) 6’6 wing, Hamden High (CT), AAU Team: New Haven Heat - Green is a long, lanky wing that is athletic and mobile. New Haven Heat coach says he probably has one of the highest ceilings in their program and that we will being hearing his his name a lot in the future

 

Jalen Gordon (2021) 6’3 guard, Capital Prep High (CT) - Gordon scores, rebounds, and defends. He plays and defends multiple positions.  He is a perimeter threat off the catch and can score over or around defenders when attacking the basket. Jalen really takes pride in his defense

 

Brandon Harris (2021) 6’1 swing, Alexander Hamilton High, AAU Team: Go Torey All Stars - Harris has a quick first step and a variety of moves around the basket giving him the ability to score from all angles. He can also extend the floor with his shooting range. Defensively he seems to find himself in the passing lanes for steals leading to transition

 

Dashawn Hill (2021) 5’11 point guard, Academy of Science and Innovation (CT) - Hill’s greatest strengths are on the defensive side of the ball, as he will typically guard the other team’s strongest ball handler.  His ball pressure has the ability to disrupt an entire offense. Offensively, he has the ability to hit from deep and his strength lies in attacking the rim and finishing

 

Chris Hough (2021) 6’1 guard, Capital Prep High (CT) - Hough is a long and wiry guard.  He is an athletic shooter/scorer that can get to the basket and finish in various ways.  His long arms are an asset on defense and he plays with high energy

 

Karion Hooks (2021) 6’4 guard,  Norte Dame-West Haven (CT) - Hooks will be a name you will hear a lot over the next year. He is one of the best scorers in CT. He has a smooth handle and a smooth shot. He makes it look to easy.  He is also a lock-up defender

 

John Hypolite (2021) 6’6 small forward, Bridgeport Prep (CT) - Hypolite is a super athletic 4.  He is a strong finisher (33% of his field goals were dunks) and big time rebounder.  He also has the ability to defensively check all five positions

 

Tyshawn Jackson (2021) 5’9 point guard, Prince Tech (CT) -  Jackson is crafty point guard with a high basketball IQ. He helped lead Prince Tech to its 1st undefeated season (23-0) ever, averaging 18 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals per game during his junior campaign. He’s a Hartford Courant preseason Fab 15 selection. Tyshawn is also a 2 time 1st Team All CSC Conference selection. (CSC), 3rd Team All State selection (CIAC). 2018 GHPA Spirit of the Doc game MVP. He has unlimited range on the perimeter as a knock-down 3 point shooter and is a high level ball handler. He can make big shots in big moments and plays well under pressure. He’s a fearless competitor. Tyshawn’s floor general skills & IQ will translate well into the college level. He’s a pest when defending the ball. He’s a hard worker and a pleasure to coach


Jon Jacobs (2021) 6’1 guard, Academy of Aerospace and Engineering (CT), AAU Team: Next Level - Jacobs is on pace to have 1000 points very early in the 2020-2021 season. A four year varisty player who is a combo guard with very good length (6’4 wing span). He led his high school team in scoring, assists and steals last season, while shooting 46 percent from the floor and 36 percent from 3. National Honors Society student, gpa 4.2


Demir Kandic (2021) 6’10 center, Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy (CT) Kandic ranked as one of the states (CT) top rebounders as a junior. He has a long wingspan, and can score at will. He is also a pure shot blocker who also can get up and down the floor. He’s developing into a great player and defender


Melvin Kolenovic (2021) 6’6 forward, Masuk High (CT), AAU Team: DTX - Kolenovic is a versatile big man that can both pick-and-pop and post-up. He’s got a great jump hook and can shoot the stand-still 3. His biggest strength is his shot blocking ability. He is vocal on the court and a leader and an overall great teammate

 

Kris Laing (2021) 6’4 guard, Bridgeport Prep (CT), AAU Team: New Haven Heat - Laing is a walking highlight reel! At 6’4, this long and athletic combo guard plays with strength and finesse. He has mastered all three levels on offense…he shoots the pro 3 efficiently, gets to his spots and scores, and at the basket he can go through, around and over defenders. Laing is un-guardable in transition and extremely bouncy. A true 3 level scorer with elite talent and ability

 

Jackson Leone (2021) 6’3 shooting guard, Taft School (CT), AAU Team: Academic Basketball Club - Leone is a lengthy scorer with a high motor that plays primarily from the wing. Can shoot the ball from anywhere going any direction, and is crafty off the dribble to complement his lethal 3 ball. Outstanding gpa and board scores

 

Owen MacDonough (2021) 6’5 forward, Hamden Hall Country Day (CT). MacDonough is a strong body forward who can really shoot the ball from three. He can also defend his position well and rebounds on both ends


Don Mays (2021) 6’6 wing, St Dominic High, AAU Team: One N Done – Mays can really make shots from 3, but also will mix it up around the rim in terms of attacking the rim from the perimeter off the dribble and competing for offensive rebounds.  He moves very well for his size and so is able to guard multiple positions. Projected D2/D3 level interest

 

Keith Mency (2021) 6’3 guard, Archbishop Stepinac High, AAU Team: NJ Beasts - Mency is a strong, tough guard who has transferred to Stepinac for his senior year after Marist HS in New Jersey closed. He can knock down shots and can play on or off the ball. 3.0 GPA


JP Miranda (2021) 6’3 guard, Immaculate High (CT), AAU Team: DTX - Miranda is a lengthy combo guard who isn’t done growing.  He possesses long distance range, terrific court vision and plays both ends of the court.  He’s a solid defender and is continuing to improve


Jeremy Montrose (2021) 6’1 guard, St Francis Prep - Montrose is an improving perimeter player and defender. Coach Jimmy Lynch says Montrose does the dirty work for St Francis. High Academic

 

Brian Nussbaum (2021) 6’2 shooting guard, Winchedon School (MA), AAU Team: Academic Basketball Club - Nussbaum is a sharpshooting gym rat. He plays hard and smart and both ends of the floor and offers a college frame along with it. Coaches will love his range and dangerous shot making ability

 

Sebastian Parenti (2021) 6’1 guard, Immaculate High (CT), AAU Team: CT Express - Parenti is a versatile combo guard who can get to the basket and finish with both hands. He has good court vision and is a willing passer with high basketball IQ. Deadly 3 point shooter with deep range

 

Ben Pearce (2021) 6’2 point guyard, Rye Country Day School - Pearce is a dynamic, dominant lead guard.  All-League, All-Region, All-State this past season as a junior. 22ppg, 6rpg, 5apg, 2.4steals pg, 39% 3p%. He is currently seeing Patriot League, Ivy League, NE-10 and NESCAC interest

 

Jonah Phang (2021) 6’8 power forward/center, Archbishop Stepinac High, AAU Team: NY Gauchos - Phang is a late-blooming, strong, around-the-rim finisher. He was hampered by a leg injury sophomore year which has delayed his recruitment. He is getting stronger and in addition to his ability to finish well around-the-rim, he can knock down shots up to 10 feet. 3.1 GPA

 

Matthew Phillips (2021) 6’7 forward, Mount St. Michael, AAU Team: Go Torey All Stars - Phillips is a long, 6’7 big that gets it done at both ends of the floor. On defense he blocks/ alters shots and can switch on guard if he needs. Smooth jumper which allows him to keep defenders off balance to add to his soft touch around the rim

 

Desmond Pratt (2021) 5’9 point guard, St Lukes School, AAU Team: DTX - Pratt is a defensive-minded point guard that can pick full court and guard the entire 94 feet. He has a high basketball IQ and possess endless energy derived from his soccer background


Michael Randall (2021) 6’6 small forward, Epic South High, AAU Team: The Row - Randall can either start the break with pass from the block, or he can put it on the floor push the break and finish with either hand. He is a walking double double, who also averaged five blocks per game. He can defend from the wing in and runs the floor faster than some guards. He can play the 3, 4 or 5. He leaves his heart on the floor every game


Brian Rawlings (2021) 6’1 shooting guard, Brookfield High (CT), AAU Team: DTX - Rawlin shoots it very well and has solid court vision.  He will always make the right play and is an excellent communicator

 

Jesse Roberson (2021) 6’4 wing, Bridgeport Prep (CT) - Roberson is an explosive wing with exceptional athleticism.  He is under the radar for college coaches but impresses everyone who has seen him play.  He can shoot the 3 ball and take a rebound coast-to-coast and score with power or finesse


Charles-André Robert (2021) 6’8 forward, Suffield Academy (CT) - Robert a versatile senior forward, originally from Quebec City, Canada. He has a sound post game, excellent vision and passing, and stretch shooting ability. He is a top student and will be retesting this fall to improve on his first attempt 1260 SAT and 28 ACT. He is currently getting recruiting interest from top academic Division 3 schools with a few academic D1 sniffing

 

Justin Rodriguez (2021) 6’0 shooting guard, Academy Charter High - Rodriguez is a great catch-and-shoot guard

 

Mason Romano (2021) 6’5 swing, Winchendon School (MA), AAU Team: New Haven Heat. Romano is a long, leaper with tremendous growth potential. In the open floor, he’s amazing at filling the lane and finishing at the rim, usually with a thunderous dunk. The Heat describe him as one of their top recruits.


Xavier Riullano (2021) 6’4 guard, Mt Vernon High, AAU Team: Riverside Hawks - The legendary Mt Vernon talent pipe line keeps on flowing. Riullano is a jacked 215lb big guard who is a nightmare for other guards to stay in front of. He has ability to score from all three levels, which is key because he earns the space to get all of those shots. He is a late bloomer who previously has played the supporting teammate role to the other big time Mt Vernon upper classmen. This has kept his name recognition in the shadows, but that’s likely to change in a big way in his upcoming senior season.

 

Sheldon Schuler (2021) 6’4 point guard, Ansonia High (CT), AAU team: New Haven Heat - Schuler was All State as a junior and All NVL as both a sophomore and a junior. He has D1 height and frame. Triple double machine, he can rebound, score and create. He also has a very high iq. Per his AAU coach, several D1s are interested


Nate Schaer (2021) 5’8 point guard, Norwalk high (CT), AAU Team: DTX - Schaer is a solid point guard who possesses court vision to create open shots for his teammates.  Able to drive the ball down the court and has solid 3 point range

 

Matt Schlichtig (2021) 6’7 forward, Immaculate High (CT), AAU Team: CT ELite - Schlichtig is an absolute force in the paint! Shoots it well and has a high IQ for the game. Per his AAU coach, He is someone coaches will be attracted to immediately


Matteo Sinon (2021) 5’10 point guard, Byram Hills High, AAU Team: Academic Basketball Club - Sinon is an athletic point guard with a deadly midrange shot and very consistent 3 point shot. He has a tight handle and is a pest on the ball when defending. He was All-League this year as a junior and is looking to make a huge jump for his senior year. He has a 3.9 gpa

 

Kazell Stewart (2021) 6’5” swing, Lee Academy (ME), AAU Team: New Haven Heat - Stewart is a supremely athletic hybrid wing. He lead Prince Tech (CT) to its only undefeated season ever, averaging 25 points 11 rebounds 4 steals 4 assists & 3 blocks per game. He’s a 2 time Hartford Courant & Gametime CT Top 10 Players-to Watch. 2020 McDonalds All American nominee, 2 time 1st team All State (CIAC), 3 time 1st team All CSC Conference (CSC) selection. GHPA Spirit of the Doc 2019 game MVP.  Stewart’s upside is through the roof since he’s improved his jump shot and ball handling. His physique is one of a grown man and his offensive versatility makes him a match-up problem. In transition, his ability to finish around the rim is spectacular. He has a high motor & plays hard on both ends of court. He’s a vocal leader. Defensively he’s a nightmare with his high flying shot blocking ability, athleticism, and wingspan, which makes him able to guard all 5 positions. D1 offer from Bryant University.

 

Quentar Taylor (2021) 6’2 point guard, Bridgeport Prep (CT) - Taylor is a big frame, tough and gritty competitor who can score and make plays for others. His bull strength and size belies his agility and crafty handle. He holds mulitple assist records and scored a career-high 33 points in a game for Trumbull High (CT). BP staff believes that Taylor will thrive on this level as a PG and show coaches that he is a scholarship talent

 

Anthony Trim (2021) 6’0 guard, Dr. Susan S. McKinney High – Trimm is a slashing guard with an incredible motor. He has a very quick jump to go along a high vertical. In his first full PSAL season he contributed on the offensive end with an improving jump shot and relentless attacks to the basket. His athleticism and toughness gives him versatility to defend all positions

 

Ryan Wade (2021) guard, St Dominic High – Wade is a long and athletic guard who is a very good defender. He gets deflections on the ball and gets his hands into passing lanes. Offensively, he attacks off the bounce very well and finishes at the rim and has been working hard on his jumper during the off season. Projected to be a D2/D3 level college player

 

Jaden Walker (2021) 5’9 shooting guard, Metropolitan Learning Center (CT). Walker is a tough-nosed, left hander. He is a solid scorer off the dribble and will hit the open shot. Good decision maker and passer. Per his coach, Jaden’s best attributes are his competitive nature and that he is very coachable


Lance Walsh (2021) 6’1 guard, Trumbull High (CT), AAU Team: DTX - Walsh is a comboguard with lethal long range distance.  He’s long and athletic and will defend bigger players

 

Corey Walters (2021) 6’2 guard, Hamden Hall Country Day- Walters is a slashing combo guard with a deadly mid range game who plays elite on ball defense. He can also run the offense and create for others. Shoots it well from 3!

 

Jakai White (2021) 6’1 guard, Brooklyn Law and Tech High - White is a great knock-down shooter and prolific scorer. His coach believes tyhat he will be one of the top prospects in the PSAL for this upcoming season

 

Latrell Wimms (2021) 5’10 guard, Dr. Susan S. McKinney High – Wimms is a quick and high IQ scorer.  He gets to the foul line frequently and hits close to 80% of them. In his first full PSAL season, he has shown flashes of being an excellent defender. He shoots a high percentage from the 3 point arc, and he looks to add volume to his 3pt attempts with leading scorer Daven Fulmore graduating

 

Josh Zangerle (2021) 6’4 shooting guard, Archbishop Stepinac High, AAU Team: Albany City Rocks - Zangerle is a long and athletic shooting guard who shoots it at high level. He has the ability to defend on the perimeter and defend bigger players. He needs to improve finishing at the rim and his decision making. 3.2 GPA

 


2022s

 

Justin Acevedo (2022) 6’0 shooting guard, Immaculate High (CT), AAU Team: Big Fun Academy -Acevedo can hit perimeter jumpshots. He can also defend full court on-the-ball. He carries a 3.8 gpa in the classroom

 

Cameron Alexander (2022) 6’2 guard, Brooklyn Law and Tech High. Law and Tech coach Michael Levy says Alexander has big time scoring potential. He has a 3.1 gpa


Jonathan Alexander (2022) 6’4 forward, Woodlands High, AAU Team: Go Torey All Stars - Alexander is long and protects the rim by blocking and altering shots. Strong moves around the basket with a soft touch. Can run the floor well

 

Lorenzon Almonte (2022) 6’0 guard, Bethel High (CT), AAU Team: DTX - Almonte is a physical guard with a high basketball IQ. He’s an excellent team defender


Kooper Ashmore (2022) 5’11 guard, Academy of Aerospace and Engineering (CT), AAU Team; CT NorthStars - Ashmore is deadly from 3 point range, shooting it at 44 percent last year as a sophomore. He is a very hard worker with great instincts and vision. Improving his ability to take his man off the dribble. Student Council and National Honors Society student with a 4.1 gpa

Rayquanne Bogel (2022) 5’11 guard, Academy of Aeronautics and Engineering (CT), AAU Team: New Heights - Bogel has great strength and burst. He is very capable of taking a defensive rebound directly to the basket and scoring. Unselfish to a fault at times. Fantastic pull-up off-of-the-dribble. High-end motor, and is expected by his coach, Dean Parkinson to have two more very productive seasons for AAE

 

Tyler Callahan (2022) 6’3 wing, Hamden Hall Country Day (CT) - Callahan is a good sized wing, who has a good touch from three which stretches the floor. He can also put it on the floor and finish in contact!

 

Jaeden Carr (2022) 6’0 guard, Ossining High, AAU Team: Go Torey All Stars - Carr is a two-way guard that plays physical on both ends of the floor. Offensively he has the tools to score the ball at will from anywhere on the court. Defensively he can guard both guards and forwards which allows him to be versatile on that side of the ball

 

Justin Covington (2022) 6’4 combo guard, St Lukes School (CT), AAU Team: New Haven Heat- Covington is a big guard who really sees the floor well. He has range out to the three with a nice mid range game. A strong finisher with either hand, especially in transition. He is a good defender does a great job of keeping the ball out of the paint. Strong rebounder from the guard spot

 

Isaiah Earl (2022) 6’8 forwad, Lee Academy (ME), AAU Team: New Haven Heat - Per the NERR, Earl is the #1 ranked forward prospect in Maine, and 19th in New England overall. He has nine D1 offers so far. He is a rim protector, and a next level athlete who can space the floor

Elijah Graig (2022) 5’9 guard, Capital Prep High (CT) - Graig is a crafty guard that can shoot well beyond the 3 point arc. He handles the ball well and uses his high arcing floater to score over defenders around the basket

 

Cam Guerrera (2022) 6’4 shooting guard, Watertown High (CT) - Guerrera is a three sport athlete who brings a football player’s mentality to the basketball court.  He is a strong physical player who takes advantage of his size and strength and he has a soft shooting touch from 3

 

Manny Hernandez (2022) 6’4 forward, Greenburgh North Castle- Hernandez is a high energy big, whose motor never seems to run out. Solid around the basket with a mid-range jump shot that makes defenders respect him. He also takes responsibility by protecting the rim, altering shots and grabbing rebounds

 

Maxwell Hooper (2022) 6’1 wing, St Edmunds Prep – Hooper is an athletic slashing player. He can make plays off the dribble. He has a 99 average in the classroom

 

Kyle Jefferson (2022) 5’10 guard, Deer Park High, AAU Team: Boys 2 Men - Jefferson is a quick guard with an explosive first step. He can defend full court, and does so by playing with a very high motor. He loves leading fast breaks, thriving on getting easy steals and finishing them with points. On offense, he is a drive-and-kick talent, that compliments his ability to knock down the three ball when open

 

Will Kosann (2022) 6’5” stretch 4, Rye Country Day School -  Konsann is an elite rebounder (8.6rpg) and plays with an incredibly high motor.  He plays to his strengths and uses his catch-and-shoot ability to pull bigs out of the paint to create attacking lanes from him and his teammates. Aidan Lamothe (2022) 6’1 guard, Westhill High (CT), AAU Team: Academic Basketball Club Lamonthe is blessed with a 6’6 wingspan and a tremendous skill development work ethic. He can shoot the ball, and also likes to attack the basket with authority. Rebounds his position very well. He is an outstanding on-the-ball defender, and enjoys checking the opponent’s best player. Sean Lee (2022) 6’0 guard, Our Lady of Lourdes, AAU Team: Go Torey All Stars - Lee is an explosive guard who can get it done at both ends of the floor. He can shoot the 3, as well as finish strong around the rim. He is a tough, scrappy defender who is always looking to get himself in the passing lanes

 

Khalil London (2022) guard, St Dominic High - Per his high school coach, London will be one of the best players in their league this winter, and is a D1/D2 level prospect.  He is a very good scorer with deep shooting range and can get to and finish at the rim. A tough, hard-nosed player

 


Max Manjos (2022) 5’9 guard, Fairfield Prep (CT), AAU Team: DTX - Manjos isa combo guard but his strength is shooting. He is known as one of the best shooters in the area, with an exceptional ability to shoot the 3. He has a quick release which makes him able to shoot over bigger guards. He is a good on-ball defender who is not afraid to play physically

 

Kyle Marshall (2022) 5’11 point guard, St Dominic High, AAU Team: Long Island Lightning – According to St Dom’s coach, Mike Kelly, “Kyle will probably be our starting point guard as a junior.  Had a major growth spurt this off season and is probably going to pass 6 feet tall.  Lefty.  Very crafty guard with excellent basketball IQ.  Can get into the lane at will and also has the ability to make shots.  Potential to be one of the best guards in the league this year as a junior.”  Projected D1/D2 level interest

Jonathan Medley (2022) 6’4 guard, St Francis Prep - Medley was a double digit rebounder, improved shooter and ball handler for St Francis in 2019-20.  He has a high basketball IQ, is extremely coachable, does whatever teams needs of him to win. His varsity coach says he is a possible All City player for the next two seasons

 

Jonathan Mendizabal (2022) 6’1 wing, St Edmunds Prep - Mendizabal plays hard. He can shoot the ball and is a sneaky offensive rebounder


Keyshawn Mitchell (2022) 6’9 guard, Captial Prep High (CT) - Mitchell can pass, dribble, shoot and defend. He can play all 5 positions on the floor.  Offensively he has range that extends out to the 3 point Arc and can get by defenders off the dribble.  His long arms and mobility allows him to guard players in the perimeter and in the post


Chance Morrish (2022) 6’1 guard, St Francis Prep - Morrish is a lefty shooter, who is deadly from 3. He is also a crafty playmaker, who is not afraid of contact. He has made the effort to improve his perimeter defense

 

Billy Murphy (2022) 5’7 point guard, Immaculate High (CT), AAU Team: Big Fun Academy - Murphy is extremely fast, strong, and intelligent. He beats defenders off the dribble effortlessly and is one of the best on ball defenders in the area.

 

Sincere Nwogu (2022) 6’1 guard, Brooklyn Law and Tech High - Nwogu is a lock-down defender with long wingspan and a knock-down shooter

 


Quincy Platt (2020) 6’6 forward Evander Childs High - Platt has to sit out 2019-20 , keeping him completely off the radar. He is smooth, fluid and athletic. He has long arms, can block shots and rebound. He is smooth, fluid and athletic. He can also hit 3’s, run the court, jump and score inside. He passed all of his classes and will be on the court for 20-21

Thai Sapenter (2022) 6’3 wing, Immaculate High School (CT), AAU Team: Big Fun Academy - Sapenter is an athletic guard/wing with strong ability to get to the rim and a lethal jump shot. He displays strong defense and shows grit and hustle. He has played varsity since his freshman year and the Mustangs will look for major contributions from Sapenter in his junior year. He carries a 4.3 gpa with AP classes


Justin Smith (2022) 5’11 combo guard, Academy of Aerospace and Engineering (CT), AAU Team: New Heights - Smith is very good at both getting to the rim and spoting up from 3. He is AAE’s best on-the-ball defender where he does a great job of moving his feet and reading his man’s hips.  He has very good bounce off-of-the-dribble and can finish over much bigger players

 

Michael Schmidt (2022) 5’11” guard, Bethel HS (CT), AAU Team: Big Fun Academy - Schmidt is a knock down shooter, who averaged 12 ppg as a sophomore and was an 85% FT shooter. He was an SWC All-Colonial Selection as a sophomore and two-time SWC All Academic award winner

 

Mehki Tyson-Slaughter (2022) 6’3 guard, Captial Prep High (CT) - Tyson-Slaughter is a strong and physical guard. He plays extremely hard and is a tough defender and rebounder. He uses his explosive athleticism to rebound, block shots and attack the rim


Blake Taylor (2022) 5’7 guard, Henry Abbott Tech (CT), AAU Team: Big Fun Academy - Taylor can shoot the ball all around the key. He was the key scorer for his varsity team as a sophomore. He has improved on his ball handling and speed. Needs to have a big junior year in order to break through

 

Justin Turner (2022) 5’11 guard, Eastport-South Manor High, AAU Team: NY Lightning - Turner is a hardworking player who will do anything that he is asked. He is a playmaking guard who can create shots for both myself and his teammates. Also excellent in the classroom

 

Lamont LJ Ward (2022) 5’11 point guaed, Watertown High (CT) - Ward is a shifty PG with an old-school mid-range game.  He commits to the defensive end of the floor and his ability to penetrate helps him get teammates involved offensively

 

Jah’khi Washington (2022) 6’3” guard, St Lukes School (CT)- Washington is an elite leaper that can really get to the rim.  He finishes well in traffic with either hand and can make the mid-range shot. Good shooter from the three-point line and sees the floor well. His long wingspan contributes to both him being a very good on-the-ball defender and high level rebounder

Jack Balsano (2023) 5’7 guard, Fairfield Prep (CT), AAU Team: DTX - Balsano is a combo guard who possesses long distance range shooting and terrific court vision. He plays both ends of the court.  He’s a solid defender who’s continuing to improve


Michael Bagly (2023) 6’0 guard, Trumbull High - Bagly is a combo guard who makes plays for his teammates.  He’s uses his long range shooting ability to create and then exploit driving lanes to the basket

 

Henry Cohn (2023) 5’11 guard, Rye Country Day School - Cohn is quick and tough with deep range and a soft touch at the rim. Not only did he contribute as a freshman to the varsity basketball team, he was the starting quarterback for the varsity football team. Played his freshman season at 5’7” and is in the midst of a growth spurt.  He is one to keep an eye on

Jarrett Dingle (2023) 6’2 point guard, Academy Charter High - Dingle is an athletic point guard who led his conference in scoring and assists as a freshman. He reads the defense very well and is a great passer. Accordin to his coach, he is a also a great defender and is very coachable

 

Matt Frost (2023) 6’1 forward, St Edmunds Prep – Frost is an aggressive and hard-working player. A throwback forward that can score and rebound efficiently

 

Michael Iannetta (2023) 6’2 Combo Guard, Immaculate High (CT), AAU Team: Big Fun Academy - Iannetta is very explosive to the rim and is a knock-down 3point shooter. He is an extremely gifted defender and great academic student. Sophmore-to-watch this upcoming season

 

PJ James (2023) 5’9 point guard, Bridgeport Prep (CT) - James is a high floor general.  He is also a menacing 2-way player who has expanded his accuracy and range on the perimeter.  This playmaking sharp shooter is elite!  He will be fun to watch this season

 

Nehemiah Johnson (2023) 6’0 point guard, Capital Prep High (CT) - Johnson is a pass-first guard who can handle the ball and make decisions.  Nehemiah can also play on both sides of the ball


James LaFrance (2023) 5’11 point guard, Hamden Hall Country Day (CT), AAU Team: DTX - LaFrance is biggest strength at this point in his development is creating shots off the dribble

 

Mussiah Mooney-Durant (2023) 6’4 guard, Brooklyn Law and Tech High - Mooney-Durant is a Big Time rebounder and shot blocker. He can shoot 3s and handle. He has the potential to be dynamic

 

Prince Mensah (2023) 6’5 wing, Democracy Prep, AAU Team: Brass City Basketball - Mensah has a high motor that he uses to dominate on the boards and runs the floor exceptionally well. His length helps him to contest shots and he plays above the rim with ease. His second jump helps him with put-backs, and he has a soft touch around the basket along with a developing mid-range game

 

Taylor Perlmutter (2023) 6’1 point guard, La Salle Academy, AAU Team: Riverside Hawks - Perlmutter earned Co-MVP title of his freshman team and helped take his team to the CHSAA Final 4. He finished the season averaging 20 PPG.  Taylor is strong at attacking the basket with either hand and is an effective playmaker with good court vision and a high basketball IQ. He shoots the ball consistently from three and keeps defense honest with his pull-up jumpers. Taylor takes pride playing defense and defending the opposition’s best player. He is extremely coachable

 

Sean Racette (2023) 6’0 shooting guard, Trumbull High (CT) - Racette shoots it very well and has solid court vision.  He will always make the right play and is an excellent communicator

 

Jaylin Reyes (2023) 6’0 guard, Brooklyn Law and Tech High - Reyes plays bigger than his size. He is very physical and a good defender. He attacks the basket and finishes. He shoots well from the outside

 

Tommy Scholl (2023) 6’1 guard, Fairfield Prep (CT), AAU Team: DTX - Scholl is a lengthy combo guard who possesses long distance shooting range. He has terrific court vision. He’s a solid defender who’s continuing to improve.

 

Matt Steiner (2023) 5’9 guard, St Edmunds Prep – Steiner is a tough defensive-minded playmaker who loves to compete

 

Jakari Tertulian (2023) 6’3 guard, Bridegport Prep (CT) - Tertulian has great feel for the game.  He handles the ball with a point guard feel, is an efficient scorer and is a willing defender of the 1-3 position.  His combination of length, speed and anticipation causes problems for guards

 

Javoy Thompson (2023) 6’5 wing, Mount St. Michael – Thompson started 23 out of 27 varsity games as a freshman. His is a tremendous athlete, quick off of his feet, with a very strong body. He is improving as outside threat from 3. He finishes at rim. He can be a great defender if he works at it. His coach says the sky is the limit for him. 82 gpa in the classroom. Getting lots of D1 interest already
