Next Level AAU's College Prospects
Next Level Basketball is an East Windsor, CT based basketball training program whose mission is to increase their players’ skill set to the highest competitive level possible. Their coaching is led by Jeff Houde, Becker College Men’s Assistant Basketball Coach. In addition to their AAU teams, Next Level runs events, workouts and tournaments for all ages throughout the year. In their current realm of players, they are highlighting the following as potential college prospects:
Brady Palazzesi (2021) 5’9 guard, Somers High (CT) – Palazzesi is a tough, physical guard who can score at all three levels. Very shifty and has great court sense. Can create his own shot, but likes to get others involved first. Hard for defenders to keep him in front of them
Rob Shelansky (2021) 6’4 wing, The Master’s School (CT) - Shelansky has great size for a wing who can knock down long range shots. He also does a great job getting rim to rim and making plays in transition. He has good post defensive tendencies and the ability to alter or block shots. He was a All Housatonic Athletic League Team selection as a junior
Matthew Houde (2021) 6’1 combo guard, East Catholic High (CT) - Houde is a high level, southpaw guard who has gained interest at all three levels. He finishes well around the rim and has a high basketball IQ. Shoots it well, defends and has a strong frame. 3.7 gpa, Honor Roll student
Cody Palazzesi (2022) 6’0 guard, Somers High (CT) Palazzesi is a southpaw wing that shoots it well from deep. Very creative around the rim and uses his body well in traffic. Changes speeds and directions well and is a threat at all three levels. Creates space and will get the tough rebound for you
Kooper Ashmore (2022) 5’9 guard, Academy of Aerospace and Engineering (CT) Ashmore is a highly skilled guard with great range and court vision. Extremely strong for his size and does well against pressure. High IQ for the game and will make the right play almost every time. Bright future.
