2021 TriState Sensational Six Top Performers

On Friday night, January 8, RecruitTheBronx.com paid a visit to the Yonkers PAL for the Sensational Six event put together by the Tri-State Classic. The teams were comprised of squads such as LES Blazers (comprised of players from Murry Bergtraum High School), The Real Deal (comprised of players from WHEELS), Westchester Basketball Club (comprised of players from Iona Prep), Teach Our Youth (comprised of players from Stevenson and St. Francis Prep), New Roc (comprised of players from New Rochelle High School) and the Knight Basketball Club (comprised of players from Mount Vernon High School). Here are the standouts from the event:

 

Dior Davis 6-2, Point Guard, Murry Bergtraum High School, LES Blazers, Class of 2021 - A guard that has a lot of poise in his game and knows how to control the tempo of his team when he’s on the fast break. Is a guard that Is very crafty and can make plenty of plays on the floor. Is a great distributor when it comes to passing the ball and has a superb shot selection.

 

Cristian Davis 5-10, Point Guard, Murry Bergtraum High School, LES Blazers, Class of 2023 - A guard that is small, but very tricky with the ball. He is great at making sure his teammates get the ball in their hands on the fast break, when on the fast break. Is very quick when on the fast break and has great hands, which aids in him being able to make plenty of steals when on the defensive end.

 

Cross Bandy, 5-11, Shooting Guard, Murry Bergtraum High School, LES Blazers, Class of 2021 - A guard that has plenty of scoring ability on the floor. Has a tendency to shoot from long range and has a nice, quick first step when he’s on the when it comes to driving the ball into the lane. Also has good defensive tendencies and has a penchant for getting steals.

 

Donnell Campbell 6-4, Forward, Murry Bergtraum High School, LES Blazers, Class of 2022 - A forward that is skilled and very athletic. Has plenty of strength and is known for doing the dirty work for his team in the low post, especially when it comes to getting rebounds. Is great at playing above the rim and can also put the ball on the floor.

 

Keianu Woodard 5-10, Point Guard, Murry Bergtraum High School, LES Blazers, Class of 2021 - A guard that is known for making plays on the offensive end, and is great at creating for himself when he has the ball in his hands. A player that can get to the basket easily and can attack the basket with his moves. Is a great decision maker when it comes to passing the ball and also has a good jumper.

 

Randy Crosby 6-1, Shooting Guard, WHEELS, The Real Deal, Class of 2021 - A guard that known for his scoring and can do plenty of damage to the opposition with his playmaking ability. Is a guard that can get past his defender off the dribble and is a deadly shooter from long range. Is known for being fearless when driving to the lane & is great for being able to absorb contact when going up for two.

 

Albert Vargas 5-10, Point Guard, WHEELS, The Real Deal, Class of 2021 - A guard that is very quick and deceptive and uses his dribble to get to the basket with ease. Has excellent court vision and is known for finding others when they’re going to the basket. His incredible defensive tendencies make it easy for getting steals on the defensive end and is able convert that into fast break points for the offense.

 

Jalen Sabino 5-10, Point Guard, WHEELS, The Real Deal, Class of 2021 - A guard that is shifty and is superb when it comes to scoring and is able to get into the lane with ease. Is able to get past defenders and has a penchant for making plays effortlessly. Has a nice shooting stroke off the dribble and adept for passing the ball at the right time.

 

Promise Opurum 6-7, Forward, New Rochelle High School, New Roc, Class of 2021 - A forward that is very dominant in the low-post and is good at holding his own when it comes to the paint area. Uses his strength to overpower the opposition and can attack the glass area. Is known for his powerful play above the rim.

 

Jayson McGhee 6-1, Point Guard, New Rochelle High School, New Roc, Class of 2021 - A guard that is strong and is able to score efficiently. Is wonderful at using his strength to absorb contact and is fearless when driving to the basket. Has a penchant for showing off his athleticism and can also shoot from the perimeter.

 

Isaiah Sutton 6-5, Forward, New Rochelle High School, New Roc, Class of 2021 - A forward that has plenty of physical strength that aids in him getting into the lane with ease. Is great at playing above the rim and is liable to get blocks and rebounds when needed. Makes a lot of great plays at the best time for his team.

 

Jaden Daughtry 6-4, Forward, St. Francis Preparatory High School, Teach Our Youth, Class of 2022 - A guard that is a great at being able to set up his teammates for baskets. Is a player that can be very active on the boards and has a great motor. Knows when to be active and alert for the ball and when to take the clutch shots. Is a player that has plenty of superb athleticism.

 

Todd Rochelle 6-2, Point Guard, St. Francis Preparatory High School, Teach Our Youth, Class of 2022 - A guard that is a playmaker and can do many things on the floor. Is a player that can create off the dribble and can shoot from long range. Is also a great facilitator when it comes to passing the ball to his teammates.

 

Marquise Paulin 6-0, Point Guard, Stevenson High School, Teach Our Youth, Class of 2021 - A guard that is quick and speedy and is able to contribute greatly to his team on the court. Is able to slice and dice his way to the lane off the dribble and get to the basket with ease. Has a nice shooting stroke and is solid when it comes to getting assists.

 

RJ Greene 6-4, Shooting Guard, Iona Preparatory School, Westchester Basketball Club, Class of 2022 - A forward that has plenty of strength and showcases it on both ends of the floor. Is able to play big when needed & also knows when to show off his versatility. Always shows plenty of athleticism when going into the basket for a dunk or a layup.

 

Orlando Wallace 6-9, Forward, Iona Preparatory School, Westchester Basketball Club, Class of 2022 - A forward that has a lot of strength and versatility.  Has great hands that allow him to be a force in the low post. Is able to power his way into the basket off the dribble and uses his physicality to draw fouls to get to the free throw line.

 

Isaac Gonzalez 6-1, Point Guard, Iona Preparatory School, Westchester Basketball Club, Class of 2022 - A guard that is deceptive due to his ballhandling skills and is a great decision maker when it comes to passing the ball to his teammates. Uses his quickness to get past the opposition and drive into the lane for two. Has great defensive tendencies and always has chances to get steals on the break.

 

Blaise New 5-8, Point Guard, Iona Preparatory School, Westchester Basketball Club, Class of 2023 - A guard that knows when to turn his jets on and off when it comes to his quickness. A player that finds ways to get his teammates involved and has great court vision IQ when he has the ball. Although he can score, his best attribute is his passing.

 

Xavier Riullano 6-4, Shooting Guard, Mount Vernon High School, Knight Basketball Club, Class of 2021 - A forward that is has plenty of strength in the post area and knows how establish his presence in the low post. Is very versatile when it comes able to bring the ball up and knowing how to move without the ball. Has great athleticism when driving to the basket and is efficient at getting to the cup.

 

Brandon Wallace, 6-4, Shooting Guard, Mount Vernon High School, Knight Basketball Club, Class of 2021 - A forward that is a solid wing player, but is versatile in handling the ball. Knows where and when to be at when it comes to getting the ball at all times. Is also a player that is a good finisher at the rim, as he has great leaping ability on the offensive end.

 

Emmanuel Barkor 6-4, Forward, Mount Vernon High School, Knight Basketball Club, Class of 2022 - A forward that is very mobile in the low post and is fearless when going up for baskets in the paint area. Is great for holding his own when it comes to getting rebounds. Establishes his position in the paint and is fearless when it comes to being a force for his team.
