2021 Bronx Tech Prep College Prospects

Bronx Tech Prep was founded in 2019 and is a private college prep school. Prior to that the school was know as Betances Prep. Their post grad basketball team is coached by Zayid Shabazz. Coach Shabazz has long been a pipeline for sending players into the college ranks.


BTP compete in the American Independent Post Grad Collegiate Conference and the Metropolitan Post Grad Athletic Conference. Last year’s Covid 19-shortened season record was 12-2.


Current college prospects playing for the Broncos:

 

Santiago Collado (2021) 6’3 swing, Bronx Tech Prep, AAU Team: Bronx Broncos - Collado can play mulitple positions. He can score the basketball, and shoots with range. He earned AllMPAC 1 First Team Honors.


Brandon Ellis (2021) 6’2 shooting guard, Bronx Tech Prep, AAU Team: Bronx Broncos - Ellis is A Pure Mid-Range Shooter. Plays With Passion. Emotional leader of the team. Brandon earned All-MPAC Session One 2nd Team Honors.


Tony Harvey (2021) 6’0 guard, Bronx Tech Prep, AAU Team: Bronx Broncos - Harvey is crafty around the rim. He can also hit the mid-rangeshot consistently. He is instant-offense off the bench for BTP. He earned ALL MPAC Honorable Mention in that role.


Malachi Dilworth (2022) 6’2 swing, Bronx Tech Prep, AAU Team: Bronx Broncos. Dilworth is a jack of all trades. Great finisher around the rim. Malachi competes every night. He earned the MPAC Session One Finals MVP.


Tyler Dearing (2021) 5’10 point guard, Bronx Tech Prep, AAU Team: Bronx Broncos - Dearing is a floor general. Key factor in running the offense. Can hit the 3 ball consistently. Tyler leads by example. Tyler Earned All-MPAC Session One 1st Team Honors. 


Mike Clement (2021) 6’7 stretch four - Clement is a forward with perimeter skills. He stretches the floor with an inside and outside game. Plays at his pace, has a good feel for the game. 3.0 gpa.
