2023 New Haven Heat-Doc 17u College Prospects

The New Haven Heat is a highly regarded developer of college-bound talent in the basketball rich Greater New Haven, CT region. Doc Kennedy runs the program and coaches this one, of two, 17u national level teams.


Here is their New Haven Heat-Doc 17u roster for this spring:

 

Makai Coleman (2024) 6’1 guard, Newtown High (CT) - An All State Point Guard. Coleman is one of the best shooters in the state and also one of the most craftiest scorers.


Eli Jean-Guillaume (2023) 6’3 guard, Wilbur Cross High (CT) - 2nd team All State Guard is one of the purest buckets in New England. Long athletic guard with one of the highest ceilings. Unsigned senior with a 3.9 gpa

 

Antoine “Tony” Williams (2025) 6’0 guard, Putnam Science Academy (CT) -
The All State Guard is the youngest on the team but is the floor general. Fast and crafty guard that create for himself and teammates at a high level. A defender that picks up from 94 feet, with high IQ.

 

Jason Robinson (2024) 6’4 guard, Notre Dame-West Haven Prep (CT) - The All State, 1,000 point scorer is a Swiss Army Knife. Make him guard on other team’s top guards or forwards. When the Heat need a bucket, they put him on the wing, but he can also run the offense at the 1.


RJ Bennett (2024) 6’4 guard Taft School (CT) - The Founders League DPOY has been showing that he is way more then a defender. He has an pro athleticism with a college ready body. Deadly mid range and strong finisher around the rim. Will be one of the top stock risers in New England.

 

Charlie Sepp (2024) 6’5 swing, St. Thomas Moore School (CT) - Sepp is the perfect 3 and D guy. Knock down, spot up shooter that does all the little things the teams need. Strong physical frame.

 

Chase Gray (2025) 6’7 forward, Bassick High (CT)- A young forward that can guard 2-5. A high motor guy that’s always crashing the boards. The more confident he gets the more he shows how deep his skill set is.

 

Dashawn Hall-Johnson (2024) 6’7 forward, Notre Dame-West Haven Prep (CT) - A southpaw with a pro football body. One of the strongest bigs in CT. Can dominate smaller bigs in the paint and can take bigger bigs off the dribble. He is automatic double double. Also has great vision for a big man.

 

Talib Christian (2024) 6’8 forward, Notre Dame-West Haven Prep (CT) - Christian is one of the most skilled bigs in New England. Can spread the court with his consistent jump shot. He can post smaller players or face up against slower players. High level shot protector. Upside is very high.

 

Johnny Pierce (2024) 6’8 forward, ISA Prep (OH) - One of the most complete prospects from the program. Has the height and college ready body. Can get a bucket whenever he want but has high level vision. Flirts with triple doubles every game. High IQ player that’s unselfish.
