2023 Tom Konchalski All-City Classic Standouts

On June 15, we were at Archbishop Molloy High School in Briarwood, Queens for the inaugural Tom Konchalski All-City Classic, which featured many of the best players in the New York City metropolitan area. The event was in honor of the late talent evaluator, Tom Konchalski, who passed away last year. In two games, players from private, Catholic and public schools showcased their talents on the court. Here are the standouts from both games.

 

Sincere Folk 6-0, Point Guard, Archbishop Molloy High School, Class of 2026 - A guard that has a penchant for running an offense efficiently. Has the ability to see where his teammates are moving so that he can put them in position to score at all times. Is fearless when going up to the basket to score and has a nice shooting touch.

 

Mitchell Wiggan 6-4, Forward, St. Edmund Preparatory High School, Class of 2023 - A forward with a long wingspan that is very versatile, but can still hold his own in the low post. Is a skilled player that can put the ball on the floor and attack in transition. Is able to showcase his athleticism, as he is able to finish at the basket.

 

Tyler Edore 6-7, Forward, Brooklyn Collegiate High School, Class of 2024 - A forward that has a penchant for being a force in and outside of the paint. Has good hands that aid in rebounds and blocked shots, as he is looked at as an enforcer on the court. Is dominant on the offensive end, as he can put the ball on the floor and can muscle his way to the basket, as well as play above the rim.

 

Kaelen Destin 6-0, Shooting Guard, WHEELS, Class of 2025 - A guard that is able to make some great plays on the court. Is great at staying alert on the defensive end and is prone to obtaining steals. Has a penchant for using his quickness on both ends of the court and can drive to the basket with ease. Also has the ability to shoot from long range.

 

Siyani Arthur 5-9, Point Guard, Brooklyn Law & Tech High School, Class of 2024 - A guard that has the ability to make his presence felt on the court. Is able to make his presence felt on the offensive end, with his ability to score in bunches and has plenty of speed in his game. Knows how to get his teammates involved at all times, especially when on the fast break.

 

Connor Igoe 6-6, Forward, Poly Prep Country Day School, Class of 2025 - A forward that has good size and is able to do plenty of things when on the court. Is great at putting the ball on the floor and is able to make his presence felt with his strength when it comes to rebounding. Is able to shoot from long range and is able to drive to the basket and finish efficiently. Is also able to distribute the ball to his teammates at all times.

 

Treyshawn Sheppard 6-6, Forward, Eagle Academy II, Class of 2023 (LIU commit) - A forward that is able to make his presence felt at all times when on the court. Is able to attack the glass when in the low post and is a force when going up strong to the basket. Uses his strength to muscle his way to the basket and is an efficient finisher.

 

Aaron Goldstein 5-11, Shooting Guard, Xaverian High School, Class of 2023 - A guard that has a great offensive arsenal every time he steps on the floor. Is a player that is able to create for himself on the offensive end, as he is able to go to the basket efficiently. Is able to make shots from three-point range and finds ways to get open.

 

Jabari Phillip 6-5, Forward, Monsignor Scanlan High School, Class of 2023 (College of St Rose commit) - A forward that has a penchant for establishing a presence on the floor. Is a very strong and physical player that can outwork and outmuscle his opponent on the low block. Is able to finish in the paint area and has the ability to make a basket.

 

Tayshaun Batson 6-5, Forward, Epic South High School, Class of 2023 - A forward that has the ability to make great plays on the floor. Has good hands and has the ability to obtain rebounds and block shots in the low post. Has the ability to finish in the paint area and is a good finisher when going for two.

 

Josh Pascarelli 6-3, Shooting Guard, St. Francis Preparatory High School, Class of 2023 (Marist College commit) - A guard that has the ability to make great plays on the court. Is a player that is able to showcase his athleticism on the floor, as he will drive to the basket and will play above the rim. Is a player that will stay open on the perimeter and has the ability to shoot from long range at the right moment.

 

Tristan Davis 5-11, Point Guard, Thomas Jefferson High School Campus, Class of 2025 - A guard that is able to take control of a team during many crucial moments on the floor. Has plenty of leadership skills when he has the ball in his hands, as he is able to direct the offense and can also pass the ball and put his teammates in position to score. Is able to make his presence felt on the defensive end, as he is able to obtain steals on the court.
