Marianapolis Preparatory School is an independent, co-ed, Catholic boarding and day school located in Thompson, CT for grades 9-12 and postgraduates. The Boys varsity basketball competes in the talent-rich is Class B Division, led by third year Head Coach Tommy DiColella. Coach DiColella is excited for his squad this season, as he features a skilled team filled with high academic prospects and coachable players willing to buy into the culture of the team.


Sidney Hall (2024) 6’4 wing - A strong academic, Hall Sidney is an athletic forward who plays HARD. He has a diverse set of scoring skills in transition and in the half court setting. Hall’s offensive scoring comes from a combination of consistent outside shooting, as he can get his shot off well from screens. When attacking the paint, he has a good awareness of when to take pull-up jumpers or strong takes to the rim. His athleticism has him making plays above the rim, and consistently finishing at the rim with his strength. Hall can defend 1-4 and plays well on his feet. Additionally he is a glass cleaner rebounder, and will look to push the ball after clearing the boards. Should be prone to a strong senior season in the NEPSAC this next year. 3.4 gpa


Peyton Manyak (2024) 5’11 guard - Manyak, a two year captain, is a high academic (3.6 GPA), athletic, point guard who can really shoot it. His passing and IQ finds him creating plays for his teammates with tremendous pacing in transition and half court sets. Manyak is really known for being able to defend at a high level with intense ball pressure, and smart defensive awareness. He communicates well on screens and help side defense and gets his teammates to talk. Manyak is also a very strong leader who sets the tone for the team culturally. He is always the hardest worker in the gym, and pushes his teammates to be better. 3.6 gpa


Harrison Stanwood (2024) 6’1 guard - Stanwood is a strong academic, athletic guard who has a strong feel for the game. He jumpstarts offenses with dribble penetration and really can create plays off of screens, and gets to the paint consistently. Stanwood has solid range with his outside jumper and shoots it off the dribble balanced and composed. He defends at a high level, and has a strong feel for getting into the passing lanes for steals. Stanwood is also a leader and communicator and talks constantly on defense. 3.3 gpa


Anthony Zingarella (2024) 6’4 wing - An incoming post grad who had a very successful career with all star recognition at Wachusett Regional High. Zingarella is a strong wing with an elite skill set for scoring. He utilizes high guard skills and also creates with his size to exploit mismatches and takes advantage of both sides of it. Zingarella gets to the rim strong, and is a very consistent shooter. He rebounds at a high level, and pushes it well in transition, as he runs the floor hard and well timed. Zingarella is a strong defender who can defend 1-4, and defends ball screens at a high level.


Tim Bollen (2024) 6’4 wing - An incoming senior from Leuven Belgium, Bollen is a sharpshooter who consistently hits shots from the outside. He has immaculate shooting form, and shoots it consistently in open space and on the move. Bollen puts it on the floor well, as he finds himself in the paint and scores efficiently off of two feet. Strong defender whose length creates tipped passes and shots.

 

Sam Rogers (2025) 6’5 small forward - An incoming junior from Warwickshire, England, Rogers is a strong shooter who can really stretch the floor offensively. His skill set with the basketball is very sound, with a very tight handle, as he finds creative ways to get to the paint on two feet and finishes plays at the basket. Rogers has good length and is very versatile defensively as he can match up with most players.

Channer Duke (2025) 6’1 guard - An incoming junior from Brooklyn, New York, Duke is a very quick and athletic guard who possesses great length, skill and IQ. He is a bothersome defender as he uses his speed and length to create turnovers while committing to disciplined defense. Duke has a strong game in transition, and also finds himself to be a playmaker off of ball screens and pull up jumpers in the half court setting.


Khaleb Ghaskin (2025) 6’0 guard - An incoming Junior from St. James, Barbados, Ghaskin is a long athletic guard who defends at a very high level. He is a high level slasher, who makes plays for others well with or without the basketball. Ghaskin’s length and athleticism lead him to be a strong rebounder, and he does a great job with pushing the basketball in transition.


Sebastian Uhlir (2024) 6’1 Guard - An incoming combo guard from Prague, Czech Republic. Uhlir is a gym rat, and has terrific raw athleticism that shows when playing. He is a very athletic guard who boasts speed, verticality, and strength. Uglier has a good anticipation in his spacing and ball movement, and he will take it strongly to the basket. He also has a strong foundation of an outside jumper, and shoots it confidently. Defensively he plays soundly, and is known to really hustle and work harder than most players on the court.
