2023-24 Kingswood-Oxford School Season Preview

Located in West Hartford, CT, Kingswood Oxford is a private, co-ed, college preparatory day school for grades 6-12. Their varsity basketball team is coached by Brad Seaman who will be going into his 6th season with the Wyverns. They compete in NEPSAC Class B (mid-sized schools) and the Founders League conference.


Below are the Kingswood-Oxford players will be running in this fall’s Open Gyms:


Chuck Hare (2024) 6’10 power forward/center - Dominates in rebounding, shot blocking, and finishing around the basket. As a team leader, Hare’s skills also extend to shooting the three and racking up assists. Averaging 9.3 points, 1.7 assists, and 8.6 rebounds per game, Hare is turning heads and starting to attract D1 offers. Chuck Plays AAU with Project Triple Threat. 3.4 gpa Video highlights

 

Odin Malz (2024) 6’8 power forward - Malz will dominate the competition with his outstanding skills in rebounding, rim running, scoring in transition and being a hard worker. Averaged 6.4 points per game and 5.6 rebounds last year, he will be a bigger force to be reckoned with this winter. D2 and D3 schools have come knocking on his door. Plays AAU with for Mass Elite. 3.3 gpa Video highlights 

 

Rhandyn Bair (2024) - Blair has tremendous full-court defense and agility, he can get to the rim and has a great mid-range pull-up game. Scoring an average of 13.2 points per game and assisting 3.7 and recognized as an All NEPSAC Class B Honorable Mention last winter. His skills have garnered looks from D2 and D3 colleges. A three-year starter.

 

DJ Biggins (2026) 6’2 guard - Biggins is making waves as both a point guard and shooting guard. With strengths in full court defense, mid-range pull ups, and driving to the rim, fast twitch /reactive jumping, with college-ready range. He averaged 9.2 points, 3.1 assists, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game last year. As an EYBL Circuit player for the New Heights Lightning, he’s proven himself with a 21-point game off the bench performance there. He’s a shot blocker, rebounder, and all-around talent with tempo and awareness to match. 3.6 gpa Video highlights


Travis Parsons (2025) 6’5 forward - Parsons has earned a reputation as a strong rebounder and physical player, and is poised to make a big impact this season. An athletic leaper. He’s a consistent finisher around the rim, and his unselfish gameplay sets him apart from the competition. Plays for CT Northstars Elite. 3.0 gpa

 

Tyler Brown (2026) 6’1 guard - Brown is lightning fast speed, and has deadly college three-point shooting. His impressive on-ball defense make him an asset on the court. Already a D1 track and field recruit, Brown’s dominant athleticism translates to his game, making him a tough player to handle. He plays AAU for Rhode Island Elite. 3.5 gpa

 

Declan Griffiths (2026) 6’3 guard - Griffins can dominate as a point guard, off guard, or as a small forward. Griffiths boasts an exceptional basketball IQ, making him an exceptional full-court passer with a college-ready deep three-point range. He’s a valuable asset in transition with his lightning-quick shot,  ball-handling skills, and scoring abilities. Plays AAU with The House We Built (U16’s). 3.5 gpa Video highlights

 

Stryckland Whittley-Ligon (2025) 6’3 small forward/power guard - With his strength, athleticism, and power rebounding and finishing abilities, Whittley-Ligon can guard all positions and has a high basketball IQ. He continues to put on muscle mass at an impressive rate over the past two years. As an immediate impact player this winter season, he is a team player who will do all the “little things” that are not in a box score, such as setting screens, talking on defense, and making the team better.  3.8 gpa

 

Ethan Genetti (2026) 6’6 forward - Genetti is set to take the court by storm at Kingswood Oxford. His athleticism and quick feet make him a standout power rebounder and finisher, as well as a reliable three-point shooter. As a team player, he is sure to be a vital member of the Kingswood-Oxford program this year. Plays AAU with Rhode Island Elite. 4.0 gpa

 

Justice Hana (2025) 6’1 guard - An intriguing reclassified guard who looks to help contribute on both ends of the floor. Scored 26 and 8 during his last public school game.


Prescott Cloud (2025) 5’10 guard - Cloud’s tremendous athleticism, speed, and pesky on-ball defending make him a force to be reckoned with. His team-first mentality and ability to make those around him better set him apart as a player. 3.5 gpa
