2023-24 Bridgeport Prep Season Preview
Bridgeport Prep is located in Connecticut’s largest city and it’s mission is to enhance their students-athletes academically, mentally, physically as well as skill development. They play against the country’s best prep programs, including their participation in the Power 5 AAA conference.
Greg Thomas is the head coach and he is assisted by Ponce James, Sr and Daren Irvin. Over the past five years they have built a program up from scratch that is now sourcing D1 talent globally and can go toe-to-toe with any of New England’s power programs.
Kalifa Ouattara (2024) 6’7 wing from New York, NY - Long and athletic wing who plays with tons of energy. A terror in transition.
PJ James (2024) 5’11 point guard from Stratford, CT - A well balanced lead guard with great feel, IQ and instincts as a table setter. Can score in bunches when needed. A defensive menace. Holds D1 offers.
Moustapha Ndao (2025) 6’3 guard from Dakar, Senegal - Just arrived in the USA.
Eric Swain (2025) 6’5 small forward from Rutland, VT - Plays the game with pace. He can both get down hill into the paint, and score from beyond the 3 line.
Kenny Fields (2024) 6’0 guard from New York, NY - Crafty speedster with the ability to get buckets at will. Guards 94ft and is battle tested. Holds D1 offers.
Isaac Munkadi (2024) 6’10 forward from Kinshaga, Congo - Athletic Big with a great feel for the game. A warrior on the glass and in the paint. Efficient range beyond the 3’. His tank is empty after every game. Holds D1 offers.
Jordan Randolph (2025) 6’4 guard from New York, NY - Randolph has a great handle and finishing package. Can shoot the light outs. He is making the successful transition from high school wing into a college level point guard.
Josue Kangudi (2025) 6’5 small forward from Kinshaga, Congo - Ultra athletic with a college ready frame. Can finish through contact and developing shot beyond 3. Holds a D1 offer.
Wesly Rosa (2025) 7’2 center from Sau, Capo Verde - An imposing big with a tireless work ethic. Learning how to dominate for stretching. Block shots out of his area and rim runs. Holds a D1 offer.
Prashant Hill (2024) 6’7 wing post grad from Maryland - Hill has great size and can guard the 1-4. He has shooting range well beyond the 3, and has a great finishing package. He rebounds in traffic.
Abdoulaye Maiga (2025) 6’9 forward - An athletic lefty that plays with pace. Handles and shoots the ball well.
Stefano Alesso Rodriquez (2024) 7’0 forward from Buenes Aires, Argentina - Just arrived in the USA. A NBA-sized stretch 4/5 with high IQ and feel for the game. Has great footwork, handle and passes the ball in the open court. He can shoot the leather off the ball. Per Coach Thomas “Our newest big is simply special! A 7 footer that can shoot the 3 accurately, passes like Jokic. Can start the break off a rebound and make plays for himself and others in transition. He’s different!”
