2023-24 Canarsie Educational Campus Key Players
Canarsie Educational Campus is in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Canarsie. It houses three schools, the High School for Medical Professions, the Urban Action Academy and the High School for Innovation in Advertising and Media.
Their boys varsity basketball team competes in the PSAL Brooklyn AA division. Their head coach is Jacob Edwards.
This season Canarsie will feature a small-ball attack with big guards and wing. They will use tough man-to-man defense and a spread offense trying to create mismatches. Coach Edwards has a bunch of specialty role players to complement the following core:
PJ Singleton (2024) 6’5 shooting guard - The team’s very lethal shooter. He can create his own shot off the dribble. His size allows him to shoot over defenders. Singleton has received offers from LIU and Saint Bonaventure.
Sean Johnson (2024) to 6’0 guard - The team’s strong all around scorer. Plays “New York City tough” ball, and is projected to be a scholarship level prospect.
Chase Beasley (2024) 6’3 point guard - Beasley is a high IQ playmaker that is starting to draw college scout notice.
Xavier Francis (2024) 6’2 guard - Francis is a coach’s gem and a stat sheet stuffer.
Louikenson Exantus (2034) 6’1 guard - Aka “Mr Bully”, Examtus is a strong, playmaking guard with shooting range.
