2023-24 White Plains High Season Preview
Built in 1962, White Plains High School is a public high school in Westchester County, located 25 miles from New York City. The boys varsity basketball team competes in Section 1 of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association. They are coached by the 400 game winner Spencer Mayfield.
The 2023-24 Tigers are a well-balanced group, with strong leadership from the senior class. This group will look to build on last season success with the addition of a strong under class to go with the outstanding senior class.
Logan McCormack (2024) 6’6 wing - McCormack is a multi sport athlete, being recruited for both basketball and track. He is long and athletic plays both inside and outside with a excellent handle and can stretch the floor. Plays above the rim and finishes in traffic. Averaged 12.9 points last season, while earning All League, All Conference, and All Section honors. Will be one of section 1 top players this season. A scholar athlete and great teammate. 3.4 gpa
Daniel Herzner (2024) 6’4 wing - Herzner has great length and is a versatile athlete who finishes in traffic and plays inside and on the perimeter. A great finisher around the rim and can shoot the three with range. A good defender and a excellent student. Great team leader.
Miles Johnson (2024) 6’0 point guard - Johnson a pure point guard who looks to pass first and make his teammates better. All League player who can get down hill and finish in the lane. Plays aggressive defense and rebounds his position well. Very good in transition and makes good decisions. Shoots the 3 well.
Jake LaBrosciano (2024) 5’11 guard - LaBrosciano is much improved from great summer work. Is bigger faster and stronger. A pure 3 point shooter who is versatile. He can play both the point and the wing. Excellent catch and shoot player who can also score of the dribble. A three year varsity player who is also a scholar athlete. 3.5 gpa
Luke Brooks (2024) 6’2 small forward - A three year varsity player, who is a physical and a strong defender. Finishes in traffic and is a great competitor. Great rebounding skills. A honor student and a multiple sport athlete as well. 4.7 gpa
Brandan Locke (2024) 6’3 small forward - Locke is an all purpose forward who can do many skills. He is a excellent offensive rebounder and can stretch the floor on offense. Good athleticism and great work ethic.
Anthony Crilley (2024) 5’11 guard- A superior defender both on the ball and help side. Will challenge opponents best scorer and shooter. Multiple athlete who is in football and track as well.
Michael Borella (2025) 6’1 wing - A developing junior. A very good catch and shoot player with 3 point range.
Nick Triolo (2026) 5’11 guard - A sophomore combo guard with excellent skills. Can shoot with range and can create his own shot as well as create for others. A multiple sport athlete that loves to compete.
RJ Marcano (2026) 6’0 guard - A rising sophomore ready to make an impact on the varsity with his superb athleticism and creativity. Creates off the dribble and an excellent passer.
