2023-24 Center Moriches Season Preview

Center Moriches High School is a public high school in Suffolk County, Long Island, 73 miles due east from New York City. It has around 600 students in grades 9th through 12th. Its boys varsity basketball team competes in the Division V of Section XI of the NY State Public High School Athletic Association. The is coached by George Holmes. His key players for 2023-24 will be:

 

Tristen Green (2024) 6’0 guard - Green is an exciting and explosive player. Won the league’s Unsung Hero Award last season. Averaged 10 ppg, 5 rpg.


Marcellus Shedrick (2024) 6’3 guard - Shedrick has great positional size and length, matched with a soft touch and 3pt range. Last year’s starting wing, who averaged 16 ppg before a season ending injury. 86 average gpa

 

Brandon Smith Jr. (2026) 5’9 point guard - Smith started half of the games last season. He is a young and competitive, point guard. He loves to defend and cause havoc by breaking down his opponent. He averaged 5 ppg last season. 88 average gpa


Shane Gallagher (2025) 6’6 wing - Both raw and talented, Gallagher has the ability to play inside and out. Coach Holmes is looking forward to him having a big year! 95 average gpa
