2024 Positive Direction 14u Player Profiles

Positive Direction, aka “PD Nation” is a Queens based grassroots basketball program. Under the leadership of Coach Tim Brisco and CHSAA Director JoAnn Pinnock, PD Nation is looking to match the success of its girls program and get their boys college ready as well.


Tourron Whitfield, a former 2014-15 MAAC All-Academic Team selection for Marist College is back with his grassroots program, but now he is a coach of the 14u team.

 

Below are the 2024 Positive Direction 14u players’ profiles:


Uchenna Aninye (2028) 5’7 guard, Public School 270 - “What he lacks in size he makes up in hustle.” The lanky guard has good feel for the game and never backs down from competition.


Anthony Nelson (2028) guard, Baldwin Middle School - Anthony has an incredible knack for seeking the ball. With developing defensive prowess and long arms, Anthony can guard multiple positions and impact the game on both sides of the Ball. Goals: Aspires to be a NBA Player or an Anesthesiologist

 

Tyai’n Bonne (2028) 5’6 point guard, Louis Armstrong Middle School -Tyai’n is a combo, “swiss- army” knife guard. Most effective when leading his team, but isn’t afraid to let the 3-ball go and score when needed. Interest of Study: Computer Science

 

Dirk McRae Jr (2028) 5’6 guard, Dock School for STEAM Studies - Interest of study: Architecture/Medicine

 

Richard Hinkling (2028) forward, Longwood Junior High - Goals and Aspirations: High School Math Teacher

 

Justin Johnson (2028) 5’5 guard - Interest of study-sports agent
