2024 Heat Elite Player Profiles

Heat Elite, also known as Seaford Heat, is a Nassau County based grassroots program. The club’s mission is to benefit youth through the sport of basketball. What began as one local town team has now grown into one of the more prominent programs in Long Island. Under the leadership of program director, Isaiah Wilson, the program has grown to over 20 teams.


Josh Tocays, a former assistant coach at SUNY Potsdam and freshman coach at Holy Cross High, is the Heat Elite 15u and 16u team coach. Coach Tocays is also currently the St Dominic freshman team coach. He has been coaching AAU basketball since he was 16 years old.

Myles Herbert (2026) 6’0 guard, St.Marys High - Herbert is a smooth shooting combo guard who can get to his pull up at any time, and be accurate with range.


Gabriel Phillips (2026) 6’3 small forward, Baldwin High - A big and athletic player who is able to guard 1-5, rebounds and finish at a high level.

 

Alexander Franklin (2026) 6’3 guard, Southampton High -Franklin is a strong combo guard who’s very versatile. He does it all well, score, pass, or defend.


Ethan Sainsbury (2026) 5’7 point guard, Baldwin High - Sainsbury is a lightning quick PG with a high IQ. He can score in the midrange. He is also a very good defender who plays passing lanes well


Ismaeel Mojeed (2026) 6’0 guard, St Dominic High - A scoring combo guard who is able to get to the rim at will and finish with either hand. His playmaking has taken big strides in the past year..


Dior Legore (2025) 6’3 small forward, Epic South High - Legore is a versatile and athletic wing who makes winning plays. He is able to guard 1-5. He shoots the 3 at a high rate of accuracy.

Harrison Von Essen (2027) 5’7 guard St. Dominic High - A knockdown shooter, with a good feel for the game as a secondary ball handler.


Jonathan Walker (2027) 5’10 point guard, Francis Lewis High - A lefty floor general with a high IQ. He has made great strides as a shot maker.


Nick Lang (2027) 6’6 small forward, St. Dominic High - A long wing with a good jumper and his long frame allows him to protect the rim.


Christian Sommervil (2027) 5’7 point guard, St.Dominic High - A quick defensive-minded PG, who also has the ability to get in the paint and dish to open teammates


Donovan Medley (2027) 5’10 point guard, Holy Cross High - Medley is a scoring combo guard with a great in mid-range game and is making strides in becoming a creator for others.


Cameron Obijuru (2027) 6’0 guard, St. Dominic High - A balanced scorer who’s able to get his shot off in a variety of ways. He is also a plus defender who is good at playing passing lanes.


Devin Harris (2027) 6’2 small forward, John Bowne High - Harris is a long and athletic forward who makes plenty of hustle plays.


Darius Nelson (2027) 6’0 guard, Poly Prep High - A lanky defender who plays hard every position and has nice touch on the offensive end.


Timmy Song (2027) 5’10 point guard, Wheatley School - Song is a high IQ and unselfish “glue guy” that can pass, shoot and defend.
