2024 Select Hoops 15u Player Profiles

Select Hoops is a new and up and coming grassroots program located in Queens with players being from all across the five boroughs and upstate. Their players are being recruited by multiple D3 and D2 schools. The program is founded by Kew Forest School Boys Varsity Coach, Noah Griffith. The goal is to create an atmosphere of growth, competitiveness, accountability, and structure for all of their student-athletes.


The 15u team is coached by Rory Plunkett, whom is the current Athletic Director and Boys Varsity Coach at the IDEAL School of Manhattan. The teams will be competing this spring and summer in the ZGXL circuit, Hoop Group and Zero Gravity tournaments.

Ben Moers (2027) 5’10 guard, Packer Collegiate School - Moers is a high IQ guard who can put the ball on the floor and facilitate or be a threat from 3. He looks forward to a successful season with Select Hoops. Has the ability to be a two way player.


Ford Cook (2028) 6’5 guard, Brooklyn Friends School - A rising Freshman who’s a dynamic scorer and a reliable 3pt shooter. He is also a smart on ball defender.


Zac Guryan (2027) 5’9 guard, Packer Collegiate School - Guryan is a great 3pt shooter and a smart guard. He has solid defensive skills, giving him the ability to be a two way player.


Zander George (2027) 6’1 guard, The Clinton School - George is a lefty with lots of untapped potential. He’s got a reliable jumpshot, good ball sense, and is a stalwart defender.


Dean Cohen (2027) 5’8 guard, Brooklyn Prospect School - Cohen is quick and efficient in scoring. He can shoot from 3 and dribble drive and punish defenders. He has a knack offensively.


Ulysses McKittrick (2027) 6’1 wing, St. Ann’s School - McKittrick is growing his game. He’s a good defender. He has a reliable shot that stretches the floor. He is improving his post scoring game.


Matthew Machado (2028) 5’8 guard, high school TBA - Machado is a skilled guard with a quick first step and a solid handle. He is a reliable shooter and has high offensive IQ.


Matthew Hernandez (2027) 6’2 forward, Earl Monroe School - Hernandez brings a unique dynamic to the game as a mobile big man on the basketball court. For his size, he possesses exceptional agility and footwork, allowing him to maneuver effectively both offensively and defensively. His versatility enables him to contribute in multiple facets of the game, whether it’s setting screens, driving to the basket, or defending the perimeter.
