ProScholars Athletics is a nationally renown grass roots basketball program, based in New York City. Their main objective is to use team sports as platforms to not only showcase their student’s athletic gifts but to expose them to greater social and academic opportunities that ensure they can succeed at the collegiate level. In doing so, they aim to break this cycle of poverty by creating cohorts of student athletes that can flourish in institutions of higher learning, graduate debt free (or close to it). The basketball program has been directed since 2008 by author and coach Terrance “Munch” Williams, and their teams play under the name PSA Cardinals.

2024 PSA Cardinals 17u team is coached by Casey Williams and Greg McRae, and their roster is as follows:

Darius Adams (2025) 6’5 guard, La Lumiere School (IN) - Adams is a heady, dish-first facilitator, with floor stretching shooting range. He is crafty in getting into the lane.  He is also an excellent rebounder for his position.

Danny Carbuccia (2025) 6’1 point guard, Archbishop Stepinac High - Carbuccia’s aggressive playing style, fearlessly attacking the basket, and a lethal mid-range game makes him a problem to stop. Carbuccia has been leading the high talent charge for Stepinac since his freshman year.

Kayden Mingo (2025) 6’2 guard, Long Island Lutheran - Mingo is a four star prospect who already holds a slew of high major offers. He is efficient in his play, and drains shots from all spots on the floor. In the lane, Mingo is able to finish with either hand.

Keith McKnight (2025) 6’5 small forward, Hudson Catholic High (NJ) - Mcknight stands out as a big and athletic guard with shooting ability. Mcknight’s combination of speed and power makes him a formidable force in transition.

Taj Bryant (2024) 6’2 guard, The Patrick School (NJ) - Bryant is a dynamic scorer. His scoring comes from at all three levels. Bryant’s combination of high skill and athleticism has landed him a slew of D1 offers.

Quadri Bashiru (2025) 6’10 forward, The Hill School (PA) - A “throw back Big”. Bashiru is shot blocker who scares off rim attacks. Offensively, he’s got soft hands and an ability to score when contested on the block. He rim runs and is a glass cleaner.

Zoumana Traore (2025) 6’8 small forward, Millbrook School - Described as a future pro by his prep school coach, Traore clearly has a high ceiling. He is skilled and mobile enough to be a primary ball handler, and his height gives him superior ability to see the floor.

https://www.recruitthebronx.com/index.php/prospects/get_prospects_details/20946 (2025) 6’10 forward, Monroe High - Guevara is a multi-positional presence on both ends of the floor, causing mismatches. He has a reliable catch and shoot game and considerable leaping ability as a lob finisher. Guevara averaged a double double at James Monroe this past winter.

Tajae Jones (2025) 6’8 forward, Long Island Lutheran - Jones is a tough, athletic and high motor forward with the ability to play and guard multiple positions. He has been proving that against the highest level of competition at LuHI. He has shown flashes as a shooter and is a very efficient slasher.

Halon Rawlins (2025) 6’6 small forward, Nazareth High - Rawlins has raised his profile as a top prospect over the winter season. He is a smooth, multi-positional with catch and shoot skills.  They make him a mismatch headache, because he is also proficient around the rim. He switches screens well on defense, because he can guard all the positions.

Jayden Reid 6’8 forward, Westminster School (CT) - Reid is a strong and athletic big man who plays hard, rebounds it well, and finishes at the rim. His also has the grades that will attract the high academic schools.
