New Heights is a sports-based youth development organization that creates opportunities for youth to rise to their potential on the basketball court, in the classroom and in their communities. Their mission is to educate and empower promising underserved youth to be leaders, champions and student-athletes by developing the skills necessary for success in high school, college and life.

 

The coaches and educators are positive role models who guide youth through adolescence and into young adulthood, and motivate them to develop the social, behavioral, academic and athletic assets necessary for maintaining physical and mental health throughout their lives.

 

The 2024 15u EYBL team is coached by Rodney Frazier. The players’ profiles are as below.

Darrell Nderitu (2027) 6’7 forward, Beaver Country Day (MA) - Nderitu is a stretch 4 with promising potential. He is a good athlete with a high basketball IQ.


Jayden Johnson,6’1 guard, Elizabeth High (NJ) - Johnson may be the best shooter in the Tri-state area. He hit 47 threes in varsity ball as a freshman this winter. Has logo distance range. Johnson has an opportunity to be a top 50 player nationally in his class.


Amir Dockery 5’11 point guard, Eagle Academy Brooklyn - Dockery won the City championship as the starting point guard as a freshman. 2023-24 PSAL Freshman of the Year. He plays physically and forces TO’s. He has impressive playmaking vision, handle and IQ. Holds an offer from LIU.​


Talib Martin 6’5 small forward, St. Peters Prep - ​Comes from a family of D1 basketball players. Already has next level size with a good handle and the ability to get past defenders on his way to the rim.


Marque Johnson 6’5 (2028) College Achieve (NJ) - A high potential 8th grader playing up at the highest levels. ​Super athlete which twitchy bounce and that plays above the rim. ​Reminds scouts of Mike Beasley at a young age.


Kamsi Awaka (2027) 6’10 Cheshire Academy (CT) - High major, ​Tobe Awaka’s younger and taller brother. A skilled big with NBA Size who finishes above the rim with ease.  He is a force on the interior holding down the paint on both ends. ​Has the opportunity to be a top 30 player in the country.


Noah Johnson 6’0 point guard, The Pennington School (NJ) - Johnson is a crafty point guard who broke school single season varsity assist record as a freshman. He gets to the line, has a very smooth handle and scores consistently when attacking the rim. On defense, he applies intense ball pressure, and forces turnovers on the defensive end with his active hands.


Vasaun Harper (2027) 6’3 guard, Immaculate Conception (NJ) - ​One of the best freshman in the state of New Jersey. Harper attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes nicely around the rim and is unafraid of contact. Harper rarely gets rattled by on-ball pressure and can find open teammates in the halfcourt. He is a solid rebounder and uses his quick hands to get deflections on defense. Harper has the trajectory to be a high major player.

Mikahi Allen (2027) 6’3 guard, Don Bosco High (NJ) - A dual sport athlete (football) with defensive intangibles. Has D1 football offers as a safety.


Dominic Jimenez (2027) 6’0 guard, Christ The King High - Jimenez has a defense-first mindset. On Offense, he plays with a speed and toughness that allows him to dictate the pace of the game. He has a quick first step and was able to find his way to the rim on a number of drives. He also rebounded the ball well, especially for his size, and would start the break himself.

Mike Ervin (2027) Jr 6’0 guard Eaglebrook School (MA) - Ervin is a knockdown shooter, who can also can guard well on the perimeter. 

Bo Ran “Moon” Yue (2027) 6’10 forward, St. Thomas More School (CT) - In from Shenyang Lianing, China, Yue is a skilled big, with NBA size. ​His long term projection is very promising, he has the good body and will be developing with New Heights in the spring and NEPSAC basketball under high major talent developer, Jere Quinn in the winter.
