2024 Heat Elite Player 17u Profiles

Heat Elite, also known as Seaford Heat, is a Nassau County based grassroots program. The club’s mission is to benefit youth through the sport of basketball. What began as one local town team has now grown into one of the more prominent programs in Long Island. Under the leadership of program director, and St Dominic High’s varsity coach,  Isaiah Wilson, the program has grown to over 20 teams.


Wilson also coaches the 2024 Heat Elite 17u team, and their player profiles are as follows.

Khaleel Mitchell (2024) 6’3 guard, John Bowne High - Mitchell is a high level basketball player. He passes well. He can both stick the pull up jump shooter and finish at the rim. Big Apple Jamboree All-Tournament Team, MTG All Summer First Team, and MTG Preseason All Tournament Team

 

Chris Judge (2024)  6’0 point guard, John Bowne High - Judge can shoot the basketball with range.  He also has the ability to create and defend as one of the top players in Queens this past year.

Jeremiah Carter (2025) 6’4 small forward, St John The Baptist High - Carter is a great shooter. He has long arms and legs that he uses to his advantage. He is diversifying his game to be more of an attacker. He has received scholarship interest.


KJ Anderson (2025) 6’7 forward, Knox School - Anderson can score on all three levels. He handles the ball well and creates for other.

 

Brandon Torres (2025) 6’5 small forward, St Dominic High - Torres can score inside and out. He plays above the rim, handles the ball well, and will hit the open three.


Christian Thomas (2025) 6’3 guard, St Dominic High - Thomas was one of New York State’s top performers from the winter season, averaging a double-double on the season. All NSCHSAA as both a sophomore and a junior. He scores in double digits, especially off the bounce, but also does a lot of other things that help his team win. He has a high basketball IQ and a nose for the ball, especially in getting rebounds from the guard position.


Kam Quinn (2025) 6’1 guard, North Babylon High - Quinn is a quick, extremely athletic and sneaky guard. He has a high basketball IQ.


Erik Kubelka (2025) 6’2 guard, Farmingdale High - This past December, Kubelka set a Farmingdale school record with eight made threes in a single game. He is a lights out shooter with a quick release.


Blake Henderson (2024) 6’2 guard Manhasset High - Henderson does whatever it takes to help his team win, and is particularly good at getting to his spots and knocking down shots. 3.7 gpa


Josiah Salmon (2024) 6’6 forward, John Bowne High - Salmon is impactful around the rim as a rim protector and disrupter. He can score either back to the basket, dunking off of the bounce or hitting the midrange.
