2024 Humble Development Open Runs Top Performers

On Friday night, May 3, we made a visit to Benjamin Banneker Academy in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn for the Humble Development Open Runs, in which many of talented players from throughout the City came out to play in an open gym setting and improve on their games while also playing competitively against other talented players. Here are the standouts from the open runs:


Daniel Ogunleye 5-10, Point Guard, Epic South High School, Class of 2024 - A guard that has plenty of quickness and loves to take on any challengers that comes in his midst. Is able to get past defenders and finish in traffic. Has the ability to shoot midrange jumpers from the perimeter. Has a penchant for distributing the ball to his teammates, especially if they’re open.


Shane Seymour 6-3, Shooting Guard, Boys & Girls High School, Class of 2027 - A guard that has plenty of strength and uses it to his advantage when it comes to driving to the basket. Is able to absorb contact when going up for two. Is able to hold his own when on the floor against the competition.


Scotty Lee 6-4, Shooting Guard, Boys & Girls High School, Class of 2024 - A guard that has the ability to make his presence felt in many ways on the floor. Is able to attack in transition and is a player that is known for his shot selection, as he is prone to hitting mid-range jumpers on the court. Is able to challenge defenders by absorbing contact when going up into the lane for two points.


Keishawn Morris 6-2, Piney Woods School (MS), Class of 2024 - A guard that is quick and deceptive when he has the ball in his hands. Has a lot of finesse in his game, as he is able to crafty player that can create his shot. Is able to make shots from three-point range and also the midrange. Is able to drive to the hole and finish efficiently.


Tyler Francis 6-7, Forward, Hotchkiss School, Class of 2025 - A forward that has plenty of athleticism and is able to use his length to impact the game. Is a player that can drive to the hole and throw down furious dunks. Has the ability to obtain rebounds and then run on the fast break.


Isaiah Ross 5-7, Point Guard, Nazareth High School, Class of 2027 - A guard that is shifty and uses his size and quickness as an advantage, as he is able to get his teammates the ball in various moments. Is able to attack in transition and can get downcourt efficiently. Has plenty of awareness when patrolling his team and is a great decision maker.


Ashton Reynolds 6-5, Forward, Transit Tech High School, Class of 2024 - A forward that is able to hold his own on both ends of the court. Knows how to absorb contact when driving to the basket and is able to use his athleticism to his advantage when going to the rim. Has a penchant for grabbing rebounds and then exploding onto the fast break.


Jahmire Brewer 6-6, Forward, South Shore High School, Class of 2024 - A forward that has plenty of skill and versatility when on the floor. Is able to put the ball on the floor and is able to outwork the opposition on the floor. Has a nice shooting touch and can also drive to the basket, where he is a good finisher.


Jadyn Wilson 6-6, Forward, Transit Tech High School, Class of 2024 - A forward that is mobile and has great footwork when on the floor. Is able to post up on the opposition and is able to muscle his way to the post and can finish in the paint. Has a nice shooting touch when on the perimeter and is able to hold his own when it comes to rebounding.


Ajani Fleming 6-2, Shooting Guard, Eagle Academy II, Class of 2024 - A guard that is known as a true competitor on the floor and is able to make his presence felt on both ends. Is a great defender that will stick with his man and looks to obtain steals. Has a nice shooting touch and likes to shoot three-pointers.


Brian Castillo 5-11, Shooting Guard, Graphic Arts Educational Campus, Class of 2025 - A guard that is very shifty and is able to be a solid playmaker on the court. Is able to get steals and likes to run in the fast break and drive to the basket to score. Has a nice shooting touch from three and has a penchant for shooting pull-up jumpers.
