The 2024 Rens United 17u roster is as follows:

Kamryn Salters (2025) 6’3 small forward Notre Dame–Fairfield High (CT) – Salters is a tremendous leader which may be his best attribute.  He can score from all 3 levels and has tremendous work ethic. A small forward that is able to help his team out tremendously in multiple areas. Is a player that can crash the boards in order to get rebounds. Has a penchant for driving to the basket and is a solid finisher on the offensive end. Uses his physicality and strength to hold his own on both ends of the floor, whether it has to do with scoring or defense. Has a penchant for making passes that will aid in offensive opportunities for his teammates.

AJ Trimboli (2026) 5’10 Guard, King School (CT), Trimboli is a knock down shooter, and he has a very high basketball IQ coming from a basketball family.  His dad and coach, TJ, was a D2 All-American and his uncle Mike Trimboli was a 4-year starter and 2,000 point scorer at the University of Vermont.  All FAA 2nd team and All NEPSAC for the 2023-2024 season.  Trimboli has emerged this year as a go-to player. With an assassin’s mentality and his ability to get shots off at will, he can fill it up at any given time. What separates him is his high IQ on and off the court. He is a student of the game and understands efficiency. He has been on a tear lately, connecting on almost four 3’s a game. As a sophomore, he is in rarefied air, averaging 19 ppg while shooting over 50% from 2, over 40% from 3, and over 90% from the free throw line. Trimboli’s tight handle gives him the ability to ‘get to his spots, which allows him to consistently make the right play as he also the team leader in assists (4.1) and leads in steals (2.1). He is at the top of the opponents’ scouting reports.  College coaches take note; as AJ Trimboli gets stronger and continues to fill out, there will be many more eyes on him. 3.6 gpa

Nathan Charlot (2024) 6’1 Guard, Notre Dame–Fairfield (CT) (Clark University commit) - Charlot is a very athletic wing that can get to the basket with ease.  A great finisher around the rim as well as a great defender both on and off the ball.  A major contributor to the Lancers this past season on their way to winning their league championship and their state title run.  His IQ is very high.

TJ Wright (2025) 5’10 point guard, St Joseph’s High (CT) - Wright is a shifty quick guard that can easily get by his defender and get his shot off against anyone.  A very skilled PG that sees the floor and can knock down shots.  A crafty defender when it comes to reading the passing lanes.  All-FCIAC and All-State CIAC for the 2023-2024 season.

Ryan Luchetta (2025) 6’1 Guard, Wilton High (CT) - Luchetta is a high IQ guard that handles the ball well and can knock down shots from anywhere on the floor.  He is a smart defender and has a really good feel for the game. Led his conference in FT attempts which shows his ability to get to the rim.

Henry Simon (2026) 6’3 wing, King School (CT) – Simon hails from California and brings a strong aggressive wing game with him.  He can score from all 3 levels and his mid-range game is top notch.  With his strong frame and high IQ, he has the ability to guard 3 positions.  Simon lives in the gym as all he wants to do is get better.  He is a constant catch and shoot threat from the 3-point line, and he should continue to attract college coaches because of his versatility.  3.5 gpa

George McCormack (2025) 6’1 shooting guard, King School (CT) - “Shooter!!!” is all you hear from opposing coaches when McCormack runs up the court. He has separated himself as the most lethal shooter around. He takes over eight 3’s a game and has found the balance of volume and efficiency. He moves extremely well without the ball and shoots with impressive confidence and range. McCormack understands how to make himself available and gets his shot off as quick as we have seen in recent years, which separates him from the rest. Every team needs a shooter; McCormack fills that role without question. 3.7 gpa

Jaylen Brown (2024) 5’10 point guard (Alleghany College of Maryland commit) - Brown is a true point guard who sees the floor very well. He is also an excellent slasher, can knock down the 3, and is a very good free throw shooter. His ability to create shots for himself and others, as well as his ability to defend a full 90 feet, makes him a solid point guard at both ends of the floor.  Jaylen has put up 50+ points in multiple games in his HS career and was All-State CIAC, All-FCIAC, and Player of the year in the FCIAC for the 2023-2024 season.

Ejai Presley (2025) 6’3 wing, Stamford High (CT) – Presley is a wing that runs the floor well, finishes at the rim, and can knock down the 3.  A multi-sport athlete, he bounces back and forth between basketball and football.  All-FCIAC and All-State CIAC for the 2023-2024 season.  He is able to defend multiple positions with his length and athleticism.
